No, no, no. Here is how everything was really created: Some dude was eating a sandwich in another dimension, but he got FOOD POISONING! He got really sick and he started to puke. Then he barfed so hard that all the chunks went into our dimension and turned into galaxies and planets!

There is your official answer.

The first sentence of that website: "Christianity is the only evidential, historical religion in the world"

Did you even give the evidence I give a chance ? Listen and you might discover some things you never knew and don't let your bias interrupt you from coming to truth atheist . Juts give truth a chance .

I'm sorry, but I won't spend too much time on a website who's first sentence is a complete and utter and rather obvious lie.

How redundant.

True. If you're going to slam religious folks passing it off as science, do it properly. As a matter of fact, slammming religion is like competing in the special olympics. Need I continue?

[QUOTE="ranger_waha"][QUOTE="bastards12345"]So god can be timeless but the universe can't? At least we know the universe exists.

Sort of, yeah. To put it another way, we know we can experience the universe. Who says that god is nothing more than another anomaly, like weather? I'm thinking along the lines of a luck force, which would fit into quantum physics somehow...

Knowing we can experience it means it exists in some form. Your suggestion is an age-old fallacy of placing god's existence in an unknown; an unknown that continually gets smaller.

True, but not everything we experience exists anywhere else than our own minds. Consider a drug trip. A bad one. Do those alligators that spit acid exist? No. Do we see, hear and smell em? Yeah. Our own mind is the biggest obstacle to reason.

They exist in some form, yes. In this sense they exist as chemical reactions in your body. In the other case, God does not exist any more than the simple psychology behind belief--beliefs that can be wholly delusional. But we cannot see, hear, touch, or smell God unless we are using hallucinogens.

"In linguistics, evidentiality is a modality that allows (or requires) speakers to specify why they believe a given statement" Are you saying that only applies to Christianity?

Whcih of course makes us all gods. If the key to being near god lies within us, then we are gods, simply of untapped potential.

I think God actually made a plan for us to discover our race, the human being, God gave us problems to solve them and then being rewarded for solving them. According to the Big Bang, there was a little atom of high-density energy, which exploded and universe appeared. But who put that little atom at that time, there must be a Higher Power who put that little atom from who life emerged. Also the theory of evolution, God made the pattern, it cannot be coincidence that mere monkeys turned into humans. God is Omnipotent, becuase he has the power to do all things he want, to create from nothing and to destroy entire species.

God has been since the beggining of time, he wasn´t created or anything. God is simply God.
Remember that coincidence doesnt exists, God actually has something good planned for you, heaven, but if you go out from that pattern, you are just doomed to the never ending fires of hell.

How can all the univerese has been in perfect armony and precise for that many years? Obviously there IS a Higher Power, just look at all the stars in the sky, thats not even 1/100000000 of the stars of the universe! The universe is perfect, so only a perfect Being must have create it.

Our brains cannot understand infinity yet. If you say who made God, then who made that guy? And that guy? All the way to the top of the "creator chain". It just doesn't make sense, but I believe God was infinity, and he is our creator, and after he created the universe he let the world evolve, meaning evolution is also true. And when Humans finally became Homo-sapiens, he interacted with them and that is where we got religions, etc. He didn't make homo-sapiens, but instead he let us evolve from whoever we came from. Therefore a Creator and Evolution can both co-exist.

god is just the universe in itself and is not actually a thinking being, the universe has been around forever and has created us.

How can all the univerese has been in perfect armony and precise for that many years? Obviously there IS a Higher Power, just look at all the stars in the sky, thats not even 1/100000000 of the stars of the universe! The universe is perfect, so only a perfect Being must have create it.

or...the Universe is a perfect being.

Well, there is the Big Bang Theory. BTW, you shouldn't be posting this. It just starts another flame war.

A. it was the Universe. just clustered up into an area the size of a football. B. there was nothing. and I don't mean space. I mean nothing at all.

This thread is pointless....I'm seeing people who have no idea what the big bang is, and people who think that since there are 10000000 stars, there must be a god...You can't create anything out of nothing. Creation is just an illusion.

atleast we know what a miniature bang does. it can either create lives or take it away. so that makes us god. get my drift?? muahahahaha

Is there anything?  How can something come from nothing?  OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ZING Atheists!
slackersunited

This "explain everything in the universe or I win" approach is utterly stupid. Who's to say their was nothing in the universe? Matter doesn't just come from nowhere. Or did the Big Bang and the concept of Stars go that far over your head?
