Sort of, yeah. To put it another way, we know we can experience the universe. Who says that god is nothing more than another anomaly, like weather? I'm thinking along the lines of a luck force, which would fit into quantum physics somehow... Knowing we can experience it means it exists in some form. Your suggestion is an age-old fallacy of placing god's existence in an unknown; an unknown that continually gets smaller.

True, but not everything we experience exists anywhere else than our own minds. Consider a drug trip. A bad one. Do those alligators that spit acid exist? No. Do we see, hear and smell em? Yeah. In this sense they exist as chemical reactions in your body. In the other case, God does not exist any more than the simple psychology behind belief--beliefs that can be wholly delusional. If the key to being near god lies within us, then we are gods, simply of untapped potential.
