Confederacy. I live in Georgia, and almost all of my ancestors live in either Georgia or Louisiana.

Also despite some military success the last confederacy was doomed from the start. The cause of states rights in many ways their own biggest problem.

There's no way I'd support Confederates.

I'm Canadian, but I'd probably cross the border and fight for the Confederacy if I had the chance. I've never liked those annoying Yankees, not to mention the South has a definite advantage this time around. A great deal of the US's military bases and infrastructure is in the South, not to mention southerners are much more "warlike" then the generally left-leaning, college kid North. While I can see the International Community supporting the Union, the fact of the matter is is that the Confederacy would win hands down.

Put simply, who do you think would win: A rich college kid from the North who has never seen let alone fired a rifle, or a Southerner who grew up hunting in the backwoods.

Since I live north of the Mason Dixon line....Union I guess. Dependent on why we are fighting.

What's the reason for the fight? Are you hoping to own slaves again?

S'ides, the British Empire supported the South last Civil War so we have no reason to not support them in another one (ie. MOAR COTTON)!

Unfortunately, this is most likely true. However, I'm sure that in the event of a Civil War, the UK would remain neutral simply because they're such a divided nation (union of nations?). Just look at the War in Iraq, can you even imagine the chaos that would result if the UK decided to join in another, much bloodier war?

And lose half of the country and countless millions in atomic fire? There are times when nuclear war is justified, killing rednecks is not one of them. In my opinion, a Civil War in the current US would last only a few weeks and would probably result in the complete collapse of the United States of America. For the past century and a half, North America has been pampered to the point of numbness. The sheer shock of full scale war would drive people literally and figuratively insane. People in your average US home are terrified of pedophiles as if they were the plague, now imagine that fear a hundred times fold.

I'd drink a bottle of whiskey to America from Ireland and hope the war is resolved peacefully.

I don't see why there would be another civil war. So hard to choose though. It really depends on the reason.

TC never proclaimed what the uprising was about. This is all hypothetical. So Confederate could equal bring back slavery. Since this is all hypothetical it could be about anything.
