How do you think that any muslim's going to admit openly to be affiliated to a terrorist group after submitting their personal info to Gamespot? HELLO??

[QUOTE="Stumpt25"][QUOTE="GabuEx"][QUOTE="atayl22"]FACT: Bin Ladin's writing ARE heavily saturated in Koranic scripture. He justifies everything he says.Videodogg
If you take it out of context, yes, everything he says is backed up by the Qur'an. For example, one of the favorites is this verse:
"Fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war)."
- Qur'an 9:5
...but in context, this page gives an excellent explanation of what it really means:
This verse was revealed during a historical period when the small Muslim community had entered into treaties with neighboring tribes (Jewish, Christian, and pagan). Several of the pagan tribes had violated the terms of their treaty, secretly aiding an enemy attack against the Muslim community. The verse directly before this one instructs the Muslims to continue to honor treaties with anyone who has not since betrayed them, because fulfilling agreements is considered a righteous action. Then the verse continues, that those who have violated the terms of the treaty have declared war, so fight them... (as quoted above).
Directly after this permission to fight, the same verse continues, "but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them... for God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." The subsequent verses instruct the Muslims to grant asylum to any member of the pagan tribe/army who asks for it, and again reminds that "as long as these stand true to you, stand ye true to them: for God loves the righteous."

This post is soooo full of win.
(I'm not a muslim btw. but i seriously respect Islam.)
Sounds to me like it means that Muslims will be friendly to you only if you become Muslim.
That it does. Notice this in case of war. When the non-believers have attacked you and refuse to make peace with you after you try to negotiate with them various time also, this must be taken in notice that before the two armies meet for battle, the muslim army leader is to ask again to end the war by Jizya, join Islam or other ways.
Islam also says to never speak ill or harm a non-believer or a believer. The Holy Prophet has said that we should give blessings to everyone, enemy, friend, strangers etc. Then there are the rights of neighbours which are applied to non-believers and rights of the poor wheter believer or not.

A muslim must be honest at all times. Even when joking, a muslim should not tell a joke if its a lie. So either a muslim doesnt answer or he tells them the truth.
Besides, I don't think a member of Al-Qaida is in Gamespot. IMO, most of the people of Al-Qaida aren't very knowledge-able in Islam cause if they were then they would know that Comitting Sucide is forbidden.

neither do I. I was pointing out the futileness of this topic[QUOTE="Videodogg"]He follows islamic law to the letter. What is it that you think he mis-interprets. Why are so many other muslims folling him, but not you? Are you less muslim than he is ? Napster06
Is killing innocent people part of Islamic law? I don't think so.
Is it part of the American Constitution? I guess yes since they did it sooooo maaaaaany tiiiiiimes

the thing is that he is a fundamentalist.
Pat Roberston(name?) follows the Bible to an extreme extent, but he certainly does not speak for all christians.
You cant say that because Obama strictly follows Islamic law that other muslims are as bad as he is.

It is kind of an odd happenstance though that his middle name is "Hussein" and his last name is one letter off from "Osama," isn't it? It's almost like a name someone would create for a villian in some sort of parody movie about the U.S. I mean, it's made even more odd by the fact that the war ostensibly triggered by Osama morphed into one against Hussein.
[QUOTE="jointed"][QUOTE="sonicare"][QUOTE="jointed"]What? That's like asking if the KKK speaks for all Americans :lol:sonicare
True. But most americans openly reject the KKK and will not try to justify or rationalize their actions.
Well, the vast majority of Muslims and Muslim countries condemn the actions of Al Qaeda.
Conditionally.
I think you are a bit confused, as a former muslim I can tell you this: If muslims don't side with america, it doesn't mean they support religious extremists. I would say the majority do not support any of these extremists at all.

Siding against america is fine. The US has plenty of bad foreign policy to deserve criticism. But acts of terror against innocent civilians need to be condemned unconditionally not rationalized.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not being anti-muslim. There were plenty of terrorist acts committed by catholics and protestants in Northern Ireland which always seemed to get "justified" by the party at fault. Those actions were condemned but there was always a catch or an excuse given.sonicare
I don't mean to be offensive nor rude, but I can't see how there is an excuse given. I can understand when americans condemn muslims, muslims will usually point out america's faults, but I can't truly see it as a justification.
i'm not but my friend is a muslim, and he think's it's stupid to blow yourself up and that's not what the Quran means.shoeman12
exactly. The Quran teaches that you cannot conduct violence against people that have a different faith than you; as a muslim, you can only try to convert them. If they refuse, then you must accept that and move on.
Even the concept of a jihad against a non-muslim enemy is false; the original meaning behind a jihad is a muslim revolt against a bad muslim leader.
But, as with any religion, the teachings can be warped to support any argument or action no matter how horrible it is.

Yes but unfortunately Bush's policy is "if youre not with us, youre against us".
But according to Jedi teachings, only Sith deal in absolutes so Bush must be a Sith lord.

The ones in America?:|
It was sarcasm chill."Fight in the cause of God those who fight you,but do not transgress limits; for God loveth not transgressors. (The Quran, 2:190)"
"But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things). (The Quran, 8:61)"
"Tell those who believe, to forgive those who do not look forward to the days of Allah: It is for Him to recompense (for good or ill) each people acording to what they have earned." (Verse 45:14 from Quran)
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NO!!!!!
Bin ladin is a murder, an idiot, and is a disgrace to the Muslim world. I guarantee you that 99% of the Muslim world hates him.
He is not following Islamic law because the Quran says no killing innocent people such as women. kids, and noncombatant Men which he actually killed 3,000 of them in 9/11. And besides he Attacked the U.S which is a Great country, and I would not approve of him attcking Israel. He claims to represent and speak for Muslims but I do not consider him a Muslim in any way.
I am a Very religious Muslim and I HATE Osama bin Ladin
