The current one most definitely. I'd replace it with one that has definitive and objective rules that leave no room for interpretation.foxhound_fox
Im with you. Im not ragging on the mods here or anything, but some moderations leave you scratching your head. A button to see who reported you would be nice too :P

No; the site would go down the gutter...or at least further down the gutter.>_>VGobbsesser
Some parts yea but other parts may do better if the rules would be taken down a hair or two. we do need some guidelines but not Laws

i don't know about abolish it, but I do feel that the "zero tolerance" policy on most subjects is a bit much. I feel that, at times, the moderators do not give enough slack for context. I also feel that points losses and suspensions are doled out a little too heavily. I understand that such punishments are meant to discourage repeat offences of a similar nature...but i've lost points for posts i made a week ago on threads I can no longer even find.... I've never been a particularly rebellious or risque poster, but at this point, I feel like moderations/punishments are just part of the rough and tumble existence of GS. Often times, the moderations are so frivolous and devoid of context that I learn nothing. I don't really even bother protesting any longer. What's the point? Once in a while, I'll just find out I lost some points or what have you. At this point, it's just like weather - there's rain every now and then.

I have read moderators say that they, "don't always have time to look at context" :roll:

Then they shouldn't be moderating that post if they can't look into it and see what is going on around it. If they are going to have Lasws for us to live by on here they should at least take a few minutes to read some posts that lead up to what got reported.

I wouldn't abolish it, but I would modify it so that the rules are clear and can't be open for interpretation.

There are things I might ALTER. Some of the rules should not be as up to interpatation,while others SHOULD be slackened a little depending on content and context. And moderations and punishments should be consistent. Beyond that I have no problem with it, I think it keeps this place from being a cesspool.

[QUOTE="Holyknight_CJ"]

[QUOTE="Red-Ravens"]No I wouldn't because it's kinda fun pushing the limits of what I can and can't get away with. I kinda like the challenge.Red-Ravens

Your sig pushes it, but in the best possible way.

Thanks. That is a good example. I like doing stuff like that so I wouldn't want it abolished.

That quote was from my thread :o

It would totally fall apart. However, we do technically have freedom of speech you know. ^_^

Freedom of speech doesn't extend to private property. . . such as websites.

It would become like "the place". Constant porn threads, over used memes threads, Boxxy threads and the requests for child pornography threads :? I suspect no company would advertise here, and GS would be shut down within 2 months.
