If you had a time-machine, to what place and time would you travel?
Also, what would you do there?

It was because of the crusades and the creation of Isreal that caused most M.E. countries to hate us. But I think the crusades had more of an impact.
On topic, I would go back in time and live in Athens (when they're democratic).

im talking about europe
then are you saying that the crusades made the middle east hate europe?p2rus
Nah, I'm sure the arabs loved the europeans for slaughtering them.
[QUOTE="p2rus"]crusades?harden007
no the crusades did not start the hostilities. the crusades were a defensive action by europe.
if you dont agree, you are uneducated. islam was conquering christian land for hundreds of years before the crusades started.
never said it did. i said that its why the me hated europe...

But unlike the Islamic conquerors, the Christian crusaders were brutal and slaughtered many Muslim men, women, and children, especially when they took back Jerusalem. And the crusades lasted for 200 years up until the 9th crusade, which left a lot of bad history between the European Christians and the Muslims.

Well, that depends on your perspective. When the conquistadors came to conquer the aztecs (or mayans - correct me if I'm wrong), shortly after their emperor saw the comet and thought it was the signal for the ends of the world, they slaughtered the aztecs. So the world did end - for the aztecs. And with all the illogicalities - they saw men on a horse as one creature, and the thunder on he guns and cannons... well, you do the math. So when the aliens come to eradicate us, we'll be in the same situation.

Actually, the europeans were MUCH more brutal to the muslims then muslims to the europeans...

and the muslims didn't do that to the Chritians they conquered? the answer is yes they did.
it's true the crusaders sacked jerusalem and killed many. it had been standard warefare procedure for over a thousand years.
why dont you look up accounts of the muslim conquests that took place before the crusades. that might help you understand.

Oh they did but the Muslims were more generous than the Christians, especially under the command of Saladin, when they took over a city with the exception of the Barburs.
This is rapidly turning into yet another religion debate...
Personally, I would totally go back to the Paleolithic era, when life was simple. Plus, if I bring a lighter with me, the people there might consider me a God or something ^_^
