What would it be? I'd make myself rich, because I think it's a problem that I'm not.

This would make me happy. (I got a HTML error when trying to post this, wtf...)
I'd also make myself rich... that way I can fix even more problems.
That sounds like communism...I would take away currency and the profit motive in our society.

I'd send the video game industry 25 years into the future, imagine the graphics! Either that or remove Bobby Kotick from this planet, maybe send him to Mars or something.
[QUOTE="MystikFollower"]That sounds like communism... Not necessarily. A world without currency would be great. We work for different reason, or simply for the sake of working. However there is nothing else to currently motivate us except currency. If only our world was like Star Trek where they are motivated by science and exploration.I would take away currency and the profit motive in our society.

That is what really made me decide I wanted a world such as that. It wouldn't be communism if nobody had money and nobody had the motive to make money. Like you said, we would work to better ourselves and our world, with that being the motivation, rather than trying to accumulate wealth for yourself. I just want to see the divide torn down between the TINY fraction of the world's population that has a majority of the world's wealth and whose only motive is to keep what they have and get more and the rest of us who work our asses off to make just enough to get by on. The world would be a much better place without currency or profit motive.

We are far less of an intelligent and free thinking species than we give ourselves credit for if we can't even find something other than pieces of paper to motivate us to work for a better world. Can't helping others, bettering ourselves, and our world be the motivation we need? Obviously not is the correct answer in our current society, but I can hope for a future like that. Star Trek has created the ideas and put them out there, and one day maybe we will achieve that which would be absolutely amazing.

It would take a huge earth changing event for things to turn around though. And yet again Gene Rodenberry even thought that through and even talks about that in Star Trek. I'm now convinced Star Trek is more than just a sci-fi television show. Gene was a genius. People should listen to him.[QUOTE="ghoklebutter"]Hatred.Mr_AlexanderWord, including racism, prejudice against religions, countries etc.Hell, instead of just eliminating racism, I'll go with this too. I would eliminate all forms of hatred.
I would give a job for everyone that wants one, and make the minimum wage high enough to support someone that works 40 hours a week with a small, cheap car, a small one-bedroom apartment, monthly bills like grocery and electricity, and then about $50-100 a month for leisurely activities.
If someone's too lazy to work the 40 hours a week, I guess they can shovel pig-s*** for a living while staying with their mom.
Linux's market share. Considering how great Linux Mint is despite being free and not being supported by any big companies, one should imagine how much better it can get if Linux as a whole gained market share.
