If you found a maggot infested rat chunk in your food, wouId you sue?

I wouldn't sue. If at a restaurant, I wouldn't pay for that meal, nor return.

If I don't sue, I would cause a really big scene. It is the cooks job to know what he's cooking and the cook is hired by the people who run the restaurant. First thing I would do is get the evidence. Picture or video, whatever. I would then proceed to tell the managment or cook himself wtf they did wrong, I would then MAYBE sue if they don't refund or do not act professionally. Like if the management got pissed and yelled back at me or cursed at me, I would take their a$$e$ down... and hard.

The only reason I would ever sue is if I was seriously injured because of their negligence, but I would only do it to cover my expenses and lost income.

Once I made some Swiss Miss hot chocolate, and when I took the last gulp, I got a full fingernail in my mouth, I mean a "full" riped off of someones finger fingernail, it must of been ten plus years before I drank any Swiss Miss not chocolate again. Then another time I got a soft drink from Checkers and I saw something dark underneath the top, so I opened it up, and it was a large cockroach, thankfully I never took a drink from it. Not once did I ever even think about suing any of them because of it.

I agree with you, if it was something that was obviously deliberately done then I don't know about suing, but I do know someone is getting their azz kicked.

Can't be any worse than when I ate sneeze guard glass that was in a pizza slice when I went to a buffet.

If it was buried in the food and didn't see it until I ate some, then got sick of it.  Probably.  Noticing it right away?  No.  I would just call the health inspector and get that place shut down.
