If you had some kind of disorder, would you still have your own kids?

I've got a general anxiety disorder and we've got 3 kids. Of course I didn't know I had it until well after they were born. But sure, if it's easily treatable and there's a fairly small chance that it will get passed on anyway, I'm not gonna worry about it. Even before my anxiety was diagnosed, I would sure have rather been alive than never born.

I think i've also got general anxiety disorder too. How did you treat it ?

You should see a doctor, you'll get better help that way.

Prozac, Paxil ... stuff like that.

If your anxiety isn't great, I would not recommend chemotherapy.

My doctor prescribed Lexapro, 10 mg a day. That seems to work great. It takes a month or so to build up in your system before it reaches it's full strength. No side effects, at least for me. Just feel normal except without the anxiety.

For a while I was taking some other stuff I can't remember the name of. It actually made me depressed and it was also hard to concentrate. So I got him to change me back to the Lexapro.

I imagine it depends on how each brand of medicine reacts with your specific brain chemistry. What might be perfect for one person might not be good at all for another.
