Carefully unwrap it, as to not destroy the wrapping paper.hokies1313
Sound like my grandmother. :P My family all opens gifts later in the day though, at the same time. So I'd never unwrap anything by myself. I don't live at home any more though, so I don't even see all the presents with my name on them. :(

Wait for everybody else, read the card, and then rip off the paper like there's gold inside the box. :P

If I'm the only one up at the time, I wait. If not, I chose first Option.

Shake and wait.

My parents get angry if I open and they're not able to take pictures. :P

well its our family tradition to pass out the gifts to each person, then(from youngest to oldest) we each open one, then the next person opens one, and so on until all gifts are gone.

But sometimes, we get to open one present on christmas eve.

when opening a gift, i read the card first, then open the present. i open normally i guess. i dont tear it open fast but im not gentle about it either.

i couldnt vote because first we have to wait, then we open them.

i never shake a present as it could be something breakable.

I would shake it, and then wait until everyone is awake, so I can unwrap the present

Maybe wait a little, but temptation will take me over eventually.

I'd shake it, but I wouldn't mind getting some Hello Kitty socks although I always did like that dog friend of hers much better. >.>

I've always been overly excited around Christmas time, even though I think it's lost most of it's magic, I find it hard to fall asleep on Xmas Eve and I've always been the first person up on Christmas day (Usually around 4am) and I don't leave the warpping paper in one piece, never have.

Im like the berserker from Gears of war ripping that guy to pieces off camera :)
