i would make everything perfect. why wouldn'ti make everything perfect, if i had the ability to?

Deihjan

But what is perfection?

probably whatever i felt like i wanted it to be. everyone would be happy, because i'd make them be happy. i'm god so i can do what i want! make people feel the way i want, make everything in the world be the way i want it to be. right?

i would cause armageddon, destroy everything that lives and burn the earth to the ground so to speak.

its obvious that humans are garbage and that we dont take advantage of the postives that were given, we kill, lie, rape, destroy the greatest planet in the solar system.. our home. we kill our brothers over land space, women, posessions. most of us are self righteous ... none of us should be spared..

well me as myself right now wouldn't exist because i'd be god. unless it was like bruce almighty and i was just given god's powers, in that case i would probably just keep stuff the same and use my powers for my own good, or for whatever else i wanted, really.

Yes you did. your saying that mans will is limited to hisself alone, and cannot affect others negatively. kneeha

I need to clarify on this issue. I would create man in "separate worlds" where he couldn't interact with others. So, even if there was a murderer in one world, he wouldn't be able to murder another man because he would be in a separate world.

What? If you give free will then you can't put restrictions on it or it's not free. So you have the good with the bad....otherwise you have puppets without free will. But you can't have both...LJS9502_basic

The reason I asked you that if there is a free will in heaven is because heaven is perfect as it is, which must mean that logically, there can be no free will or if there is a free will, it's limited in the sense where it prohibits man from doing evil, thus not being free. Of course, there is nothing impossible to God according to many Christians so this isn't a problem to them. God can somehow, illogical though it may be, create a heaven with humans possessing free will in it. Of course, my definition of heaven is different than Christianity's. Heaven to me is a man as his own ruler, his own employer, and his own partner.

In a Christocentric theme yes. Satan rebelled with a third of the angels, but thats off topic.kneeha

Good point but I've always held the understanding that once you're in heaven, you couldn't get out unless you rejected Christ but according to some Christians, once you accept Christ, you can't physically abandon that faith. A lot of Christians will tell you there's no such thing as a former Christian. What I asked wasn't off-topic. It was a bit of a deflection as I wanted more time to elaborate my thoughts in my head while at the same time managing to arouse a conflict with the idea of free will in heaven, which was central to my point.

Heaven is a place of good....you cannot be evil and enter. Plus, you aren't the same as you are now with the desires etc but are in a different state where earthly matters are not important. You can't compare being in heaven to being on earth. They were never expected to be the same.

so four thousand years of existance isnt enough chance? i think weve had plenty of time to turn things around and we havent, how many chances should one recieve. watch the hate spewed from politics or from biggots, or from gangs or from the selfish. for everyone whos pure of heart theres ten who are not. i love humans as an idea but we always seem to destroy any opportunity of betterment that were given.

you have to think of it from a mother/childs perspective. if god is the mother and humans are the child, god would want the best for his child.. but if that child refuses to pull themselves together and repeatedly makes errors we have to turn our back.

So you would destroy even those that are good because of the majority that aren't? Interesting parallel to the Sodom and Gomorrah story in the OT.

well I'd have to decide if I wanted people to have the ultimate freedom of decision. If I did, then I wouldn't change anything. If I wanted to take away some of their freedom than I would fix some of the bad things in the world.
