Essentially this.  I really don't think extreme tax rates are at all fair, and in truth don't help the government as much as many think anyway.

Yes, I'm not denying that, but their lifestyles are going to be far different, and hypothetically taking 50% from someone making that and taking 50% from someone making $15 million should not be considered at all the same.

I am against tax increases on people no matter what their income is.

What I don't believe in is tax breaks and ways to dodge taxes. Paying your fair share means paying your fair share. Then everybody can have lower tax rates overall.

Well, I can't comment on the guy you worked on, and I'm not some ultra-objectivist, far from it if you see my posting history, but in my mind it makes sense for those who earn significantly more to have a significantly higher standard of living, or at least have the option to.
