I must say the title of Satan is not my highest aspiration in life. This topic gives rise to many questions. For one, what is it that Satan seeks to do? It is perhaps Satan's goal to take people's attention away from the Jesus. Rather than men seeking to please and honor God with their lives, Satan has seduced men into thinking that they might gain some form of salvation by other means outside of Christ. I do not merely speak of other religions but anything that can take a person's attention from God - even good things. That stated, in your mentioning of America it seems the love of comfort is what Satan has given the American church. Rather than attacking the church of God with force he has made it apathetic to the pains of this world. That stated, I believe Satan is doing well enough on his own and it is by God's grace that any of us would survive the sinful corruption put forth by the liar and deceiver who is Satan. What is perhaps Satan's two biggest lies? 1. God is not good enough. 2. You can define God (thus being a God in your own right).mindstorm

Religion? What the hell are you talking about. I was referring to the fact that you are over lvl 50 and are still posting, it's time to leave the forums.
I have been around these forums for a while, yes. However, I do not actually spend long lengths of time on these forums anymore. I think it's taken 3 years to get my last 3000 posts even - that's, what, 3 posts a day?Religion? What the hell are you talking about. Well obviously if Satan existed he would try and make everyone think he didn't. So academia would be the perfect target.

It would indeed be a shame if you left.
I don't even know how you stand it here, to be honest.
How is it obvious? Sure, he's known as the deceiver, but I think that's just a logical conclusion rather than something from scripture.Well obviously if Satan existed he would try and make everyone think he didn't. So academia would be the perfect target.

You said it yourself: The greatest victory Satan had is to make people believe he didn't exist, or however it goes.
What better way to make people think he doesn't exist than by using academia?

I find it easier being around unbelievers who act like unbelievers than believers who act like unbelievers. But really, it is opposition that causes me to desire to stay more than anything. Believe it or not but these forums have been very beneficial for me. A simple example of this would be in helping me to better articulate theological matters to those who are more hostile toward Christianity. In other words, unless life becomes so busy that I have no moments of spare time, I'll continue to post.I find it easier being around unbelievers who act like unbelievers than believers who act like unbelievers. You're a more patient man than I.

Do you mean a school education? If so, I think I get your point.[QUOTE="mindstorm"]I find it easier being around unbelievers who act like unbelievers than believers who act like unbelievers. This is easy compared to one of my past jobs: working a county job handling complaints for trash pick up. The difference between that job and here is that here I'm allowed to tell people to repent. :PDo you mean a school education? If so, I think I get your point.

Not only by education, but by also preaching a viewpoint that belittles those who do believe, makes them feel inferior and unwilling to spread their faith?
If I was trying to make people think I didn't exist that's what I would do.

If I were Lucifer, why would I attack directly, when humans seem so eager to do all of my dirty work for me?
Plant a seed here... drop a rumor there... and presto!!! I get Mexican drug cartels gunning down innocent civilians with US-supplied automatic weapons... I get terrorists bombing nightclubs to kill Jews... I get high school kids throwing babies away during the senior prom...
...and I get all of this while people tell the world that neither I nor my Adversary really exist.
*takes a bow*

While a key part of Christianity is that all humans are born sinners, there are varying degrees of severity in regards to that depending on which denomination you're talking about. While a key part of Christianity is that all humans are born sinners, there are varying degrees of severity in regards to that depending on which denomination you're talking about.

I don't know if we're talking about the same thing anymore.
