Like there must be a reason you die and a reason u are born. Since life has a meaning and a reason of cause. If you believe in Evolution or The BigBang. What would be the reason for them 2 theories be?

"Wilson: [standing in the back] Do you think he was dead? Do you think those experiences were real?
House: Define real. They were real experiences. What they meant… Personally, I choose to believe that the white light people sometimes see, visions, this patient saw. They're all just chemical reactions that take place when the brain shuts down.
Foreman: You choose to believe that?
House: There's no conclusive science. My choice has no practical relevance to my life, I choose the outcome I find more comforting.
Cameron: You find it more comforting to believe that this is it?
House: I find it more comforting to believe that this simply isn't a test."House MD

Whilst I will agree with you for now, I'm beginning to think this one is really just that stupid.

Stupidity is ALWAYS an option.Like all my fellow athiests it's to kill babies and sodomise young girls.
Or, you know, just try and live life to the best of my ability like everyone else does without being a pious **** about it?

Probably.I'd rather be able to live my life free then be controlled, enslaved and spied on by a supernatural being.
Life is something to enjoy, of course religious people won't understand this because they're under the delusion that their life belongs to someone else.
To enjoy life, to be a good person, to help and bring happiness to others. Basically not all that different from someone who is religious.

Every religion worships Jesus? I didn't know that.
Also, no deities in Buddhism, so.....

Conversely. Wouldnt you rather be spied on than spen eternity getting tortured in hell? I would.
Also, no deities in Buddhism, so.....Ilovegames1992Deities not required for salvation, actually. Buddhism very much approves of the belief in deities, it just doesn't assert that they are necessary.
lol why are so many of you atheists and christians so curious about each other? It's just weird....Solid_Snake325
I agree..I use to be a believer in Jesus ect...BUT found that it just didnt work for me any longer. I also could care less about what someone else believes. It just dont really matter to me. Im not like a lot of people out there, I dont try OR want to control someone elses life or beliefs..They honestly have no life and need reassurance if they do..
Life doesnt have a meaning. When you are born you arent giving a list of things to achieve. You live your own life as you choose to.Like there must be a reason you die and a reason u are born. Since life has a meaning and a reason of cause. If you believe in Evolution or The BigBang. What would be the reason for them 2 theories be?

Its not the core of the religion is my point. If thats what the OP is asserting, the idea that serving God gives life meaning, then Buddhism is just like being an athiest.

Buddhism is still very much a religion, but instead of "Salvation through Jesus" it is "Enlightenment through the practice of the Buddha's teachings." And there is "faith" (the trusting kind) in Buddhism as well, but rather it is placed in the teachings and one's own abilities to reach the goal. Atheism is merely the lack of belief in God, gods or the supernatural. It does not prescribe a mode of living, nor does it require the participating in rituals or mind-exploration practices (i.e. meditation or prayer). Buddhism is a mostly non-theistic religion (some Mahayana sects like Pure Land are borderline monotheistic), and is not synonymous with general atheism.

I know its a religion, thats not my point. But i thought the OP was stipulating that you must believe in a deity to give meaning to your life. Hence Buddhism would be as much as atheism.

There's only a reason if you believe in something with a grand purpose... otherwise the reason always boils down to: "Because..." Your view is infantile.there is no point you just a bunch of rearranged particles. your life has no value nor does anyone else. Do what you want and what feels good. Nothing you do really matter because your just a bunch of random mistakes.
