Whats the most effecient and fastest way to lose body fat? I'm 5'5 and I weigh about 230lbs. I just had some massive reconstruction on my leg so I can't run or jog, I cant really walk longer than a few minutes. I can bike though. My kidneys are failing and my body has always produced dangerious levels of fat. I dont really eat out much, or eat junk in general. I gained far too much body fat in a very short amount of time.
I can't get into super detail, but the docs say about 6-8 months....unless I drop about 100lbs. A few years ago I used to be a fit 130lbs, which seems normal for my height. Shot up to 280 right after my reconstruction, dropped back down to 230. The sudden influx of body fat is killing me, literally. Any suggestions?

How old are you? Has anything changed other than your lack of physical activity?
It sounds odd that you would suddenly gain so much weight if nothing else changed, and the renal failure is a bit odd. This could be due to a medical condition, like hypothyroidism or cushings disease, both of which are dangerous if left untreated.
If I were your physician, I would probably refer you to an endocrinologist.
I'm 23, I've been unable to walk for nearly 3 years. I've undergone many reconstructions on my legs in the past 3 years, all were back to back, some were done while still recovering from the last. I've literally been unable to walk for 36+ months. I've seen and been seeing, of course, many doctors about it. It is a thyroid issue, but a very seveare one. I don't eat junk food, the occasional monlthy or bi montly pizza or burger run. I don't eat chips :) or drink too much soda. My body just produces much more fat than it should. My diet is mostly protein based to try to counter this. It's been working to maintain the weight to a small degree, but the fat still is being produced too fast. I used to swim for my high school team :D I guess I'll have to start up again, I wanted to avoid swimming because of the constant flailing of the leg.
Gastric bypass has a waiting list of 6-12 months. I'll be dead by then. Thats why it wasn't recommended by doctors, cuz they know i'll never get on and the insurance I DO HAVE WONT PAY for it ty uncle sam ur awesome
WOW and thank you for the insanely fast replys and support :)
I think you should have a dexamethasone suppression test and an MRI of your pituitary.
Have you noticed any changes in your vision, and does the fat seem like it's building on your trunk while your arms and legs become frail?
Ask your doctor about having the two tests I mentioned done next time you see him or her.
You may also need to have your synthroid dosage adjusted.
