you know what, I entered the US legally, became an illegal when when my visa expired.
and no like the cartoons and Fox news you see everyday at 6...I'm not from mexico.
my parents paid tax, expecting NOTHING in return.
they never took benefits. I learned english not in the US, but in my native country, surprisingly I scored higher than 76% of the population in my english test (SAT). I went throughout whole of middle school as an illegal, finally I was able to get a scholarship and went to a PRIVATE catholic school where I have to pay it with my OWN MONEY. problem was I couldn't graduate because I was an "illegal" (OMG). worst time of my life being able to get any scholarship to go to college, but i couldn't. You probably have no idea the times I sat thinking what the hell i was going to do, and yes there were even times when I cried a little. at the same time my mother married a citizen, I got permanet residency, I went to college, graduated in pre med, and I am now going to medical school here in NYC.
well I guess the lies they feed you isn't true at all...who knows...maybe the person I save the life someday is someone who discriminates against illegals...life just ain't fair.
but I am sure as hell proud of the obstables I've faced with my mother, I owe everything to her and don't know how to repay her. and i am sure as hell glad I went through all these.
