That's not a problem at all. They're not taking anything away. They don't get gov't benefits because they don't pay taxes.

That was done by a conservative think tank. The only costs to the gov't are the 2-language programs in school, which are good since Americans are mainly monolingual. And it's the Washington Post...

you know what, I entered the US legally, became an illegal when when my visa expired.

and no like the cartoons and Fox news you see everyday at 6...I'm not from mexico.

my parents paid tax, expecting NOTHING in return.

they never took benefits. I learned english not in the US, but in my native country, surprisingly I scored higher than 76% of the population in my english test (SAT). I went throughout whole of middle school as an illegal, finally I was able to get a scholarship and went to a PRIVATE catholic school where I have to pay it with my OWN MONEY. problem was I couldn't graduate because I was an "illegal" (OMG). worst time of my life being able to get any scholarship to go to college, but i couldn't. You probably have no idea the times I sat thinking what the hell i was going to do, and yes there were even times when I cried a little. at the same time my mother married a citizen, I got permanet residency, I went to college, graduated in pre med, and I am now going to medical school here in NYC.

well I guess the lies they feed you isn't true at all...who knows...maybe the person I save the life someday is someone who discriminates against illegals...life just ain't fair.

but I am sure as hell proud of the obstables I've faced with my mother, I owe everything to her and don't know how to repay her. and i am sure as hell glad I went through all these.

They shouldn't be allowed, I have nothing against people coming to the U.S. but they should come in the right way.

The founders of America were immigrants, so they should be able to come in; and I live in a heavily Hispanic area. I don't mind, if our country is about freedoms and rights, then we should give those freedoms and rights to as many people as we can.Lord__Darkstorn

what about the people from the rest of the world who try to LEGALLY come into america, wait for a visa, wait for the correct processes, petition to live there, etc. etc.? sounds unfair to them right?

man, you've lived an adventurous life for a 17 year old.......... WERE TALKING ABOUT THE IMMIGRANTS FROM MEXICO(if it's not apparent). Im not saying mexicans are bad though, but their country is so underdeveloped and such there is no possible way for it to be good for the us.Most immigrants want a god job and better life in the us. but unfortunately it doesn't work out because us citizens get screwed over by a flawed government system and the number of illegals that would happily take advantage of the system.

I was gonna say "know any canadians that don't speak english?" but lol, french canada... At least their majority is educated in some form

immigrants that are beneficial to the country should be allowed in (in my opinion) because they help improve the country like the previous generations had. I don't mind immigrants but they cannot be a BURDON.

[QUOTE="SlashDementia3"]They're breaking the law and over populating everything. Not to be mean or anything but most like have 10 babies each. It's also hard for me to find a job close to where I live because I don't speak good spanish..smallcaplegend

1.there good for the economy

2.no we dont have 10 babies each/sterotype

3.its hard for you to find a job, did you go to highschool cuz there are spainish speaking classes

1. hmm i dont understand this part. as long as they pay taxes maybe they are good for the economy. but if not, boot them out. but that doesn't remove the fact that they came in america illegally.

2. no you don't have 10 babies each. that was merely an exaggeration to prove the point that you have MANY kids.

3. why should americans have to learn SPANISH when they're in america. shouldn't the hispanics be the ones who should learn to speak english since they're NOT in their own country?

yeah, but that wasnt against the law back then. it is now. they also didnt believe in seperation between church and state like today, but times have changed.
