No. Why do you hate sports? It builds teamwork, builds friendships, gets you in shape, and etc. The benefits outweigh the negatives significantly.

[QUOTE="Fightingfan"]Yea sports are pretty homometroidprime55You don't like them either? This is comforting. yeah, I only lift weights because I like having sex with myself, and I'm starting ot get conceited.
I never liked it. and Im a guy too.. never gives a damm who plays, who wins.DogswithgunsMe neither.:o
I don't hate sports, but I don't like to participate in them. I don't deny that they can be really really fun, but I'm not very good at them. Usually most people don't want to play with the person who won't be a valuable asset to their team.
I enjoy playing and watching almost any sport... even ones that I might claim to dislike. I just don't understand why some people can't make an effort and have a good time.SolidSnake35
Ball goes this way, ball goes that way. Never interested me.
A good time? That's a beer in one hand, a friendly lady in the other. Have fun at the 50 yard line, I'll be scoring touchdowns. ;)
I don't actually hate it, just not that interested in most of it.
Only sports I actually kinda like is football(american sport) and Kendo, but they don't have that here.
Alright, I feel a bit better now.:)metroidprime55You needed others to justify you not liking sports? Are you 15 or something?
I like physical activity outdoors because it promotes fitness and good health. That makes sports a natural for me. Something as simple as juggling a soccer ball is fun to me. Actually, juggling a soccer ball can be quite a workout when I'm juggling non-stop 15-20 minutes at a time. I'd be drenched in sweat within that timeframe. My kids also get a kick out of it.
Hackey sack or footbag is a close second activity that I like.

Many of the guys I knew in high school/college who played sports have some lingering injury or another 20+ years on. Doesn't sound like a fair trade to me.
If I'm going to put that much energy into something outside, sh1t's getting done:
Sand/coat/repair deck
Replace every fvcking shingle on the roof
Dig those damn saplings up out of the back yard
Fvcking mow
Repair/replace most of the gutters
Two trees to trim/remove
I wanna pull up the old driveway and repave it.
etc.

I did, I was just never good at them.[QUOTE="jun_aka_pekto"]

Oh well. It happens. I have injuries from sports (mostly scratches on my shins). I have scars on my abdomen when (as a kid) I fell from a tree and an overhanging stub tore a gash on my stomach as I fell. I have cut marks all over my hands from doing many of the stuff you mentioned above. I do those stuff as needed. I never let them pile up like you did, though. The wife wouldn't stand for it.
Those activities are chores though, not things that I enjoy doing. But, I still take the time to do activities that I like: juggling the soccer ball, hackey sacks, swimming, snorkeling, ball games depending on my mood.

Oh, I didn't let them pile up, I bought this house just last July. Spent last year working on the interior before moving to the exterior. It's been a lot of work, and there's more left to do.
And yeah, I have a list of injuries a mile long as well, that's life. Throwing myself into other men over a ball just doesn't sound like a fair trade for some of the injuries I've seen. I have a 35-year-old friend I went to school with, for instance, who has nerve damage in his hand/arm from throwing a baseball for the team growing up every spring/summer so bad he can't even use a keyboard/mouse (he loves his touch-screens, though) and wears a brace on his arm every freaking day.

I did, I was just never good at them. You don't have to be good. You just have to enjoy them. Sure, there are the prima donnas who insisted on winning. I gave them the middle finger.

Oh. Newly-bought house. That makes a big difference. Good thing the previous owner of our house here fixed it up prior to putting it up on the market.
I take it you played football. Not me. The closest to football I played is flag football. No way in hell I'd play real football. I'd get torn up pretty bad. He He.

It doesn't have to be competitive. I like to play basketball occasionally but I'm far from good at it, and I do a lot of physical activities like running and hiking (actually just getting into hiking a lot more).

Almost everyone I have ever played sports with were always determined to win.I had little league at a time when our coach treated us to pizza whether we won or lost. Of course, we wished we would win all the time. But, none of us were really good enough to stand out and we all made silly mistakes. It was not until I was in HS Varsity when I started caring about winning.

I didn't really play football, per se, just with the local neighborhood boys. I stopped playing after watching Jason Miller get his jaw broke and dislocated by a random stray knee. Later that summer Ian got his foot stuck in a rabbit hole running with the ball and hyper-extended his knee to the point the doctor said putting his ligaments back together was like sewing two mop heads together.
That was my last summer of participating in sports, I was 14.

Football's too rough for me. I simply didn't have the built/physique for it. I was a pretty good shot in basketball and I can still do multiple 3-pointers. But, there were simply too many guys who were taller and had better reach. So, I chose soccer which was a natural for me.
Edit:
In HS, I participated in basketball, track and field, and of course soccer when it came to intramural sports. But, I was strictly in soccer with the varsity team.

I'm not a big guy (unless you're just counting shoulders) but I've always been unusually strong for my size (or it's just I grew up on a working farm...working) but strength doesn't exactly equal momentum. Me plowing into a big line backer usually doesn't end well for me, because they know I'm stronger than I look but forget I'm still puny and fragile on the outside. :?
Of course these days I could run laps around all of them because they're FAT. :o
I don't hate sports but I don't really care for them. About the only football I will watch is the Super Bowl and even then I don't care if I miss it. Other then that I'll watch a soccer game every now and then but that is about it.
TC and other guys and girls here, don't listen to the people saying disliking sports will "make" you gay As long as you find a hobby that you love, you're going to be fine. I would rather hang out with people (and this is going to sound cliche) that are true to themselves as opposed to people that conform to what other people find "cool". I once dated a guy who claimed he loved sports, but when I went to his friends house with him to watch a football game, he basically feigned interest and looked like he was falling asleep.
