..does that make me a bad person?..
i dont think so..
but before you all go "AHHHH HOMOPHOBE OMG OMG OMG!!!"..let me explain why..
first of all..theres a reason why marriage is between a man & a woman..if 2 dudes or 2 ladies can some how have a kid together..(& i dont mean any of this adoption BS)..then by all means..let them have the same benefits..but last i checked..it is impossible for g@y couples to reproduce.
Another thing..if you legalize g@y marriage..then that would open the door for all sorts of weird fetishes..it would only be a matter of time before people start raising crap about wanting to marry their farm animals..
who wants to debate me?

Not a bad person. Just one who has a certain set of beliefs.
I just want to raise some ideas here:
-Why is the ability to have a child necessary? I know many married couples who don't have any, and a few un-married ones who do. I don't see much of a difference, other than potential religious based reasoning.
-Legalizing g@y marriage may provoke other various forms of marriage to ask for legality and respectability in the face of the law. Polygamy would likely pass, but your farm animal scenari wouldn't hold up. I mean, farm animals can't consent. There's an age of consent among humans in various areas of the world, and in the USA there are state-specific standards on that kind of stuff, so no minors would be married. So basically forms of marriage involving adults...not too bad.
-Artificial insemination is possible in this day and age, so gay/lesbian couples COULD have children, in a roundabout way.
-People would likely be wrong to call you a homophobe. You don't sound scared of g@y people in this post, nor do you seem to harbor some kind of hatred for them.
I personally think something like this: http://www.justice.gc.ca/en/news/nr/2005/doc_31376.html is what should happen, but that's just my beliefs.
I personally don't see what reasoning, other than religious, could seriously keep marriage from allowing same sex couples. Legally, I don't see what the hold-up is. Then again, I live in Canada, and not the USA, so I don't know everything that goes on down there(though I do read a fair amount of American news on politics and whatnot).
Really, I'm sure things will be fleshed out once I post this......yeah, probably.
