I watched The Shawshank Redemption and it was simply on of the best movies I've ever seen. It was a mind blowing story, full of meaning and I really need your help 'cause I really want to see something similar. well not exactly Similar, but just a film which will move me. Any recommendations?:)

"The Green Mile" is a movie based off the book by Stephen King, who also wrote "The Shawshank Redemption". Very good, faithful representation of the book, and it's just as moving and meaningful as "Shawshank".
That's what I was going to recommend as well. Although it's noirish, and not very uplifting ... Donnie Darko, Mulholland Drive are both amazing movies. All of them would be put in the noir category by me, noir's my favorite by the way :)

I strongly suggest Million Dollar Baby. In that, Morgan Freeman also narrates as a supporting character. He's great. :D
