I'm one awkward penguin with the ladiez.

I can't seem to get a good conversation with the opposite sex. With my guy friends (not to sound conceited) I'm so relaxed and can talk about anything for days. But with the ladies, I usually choke up and try to find some sort of an escape route to stop talking to them. What are some good tips to be more comfortable; or just things you do that help. FYI I'm in High school.

Edit: I talk to them, it's just that I usually have an awkward moment with them.

Edit#2:Less attractive chicks are much easier to talk to than girls I actually like.

it helps to know that theyre just as human and get just as nervous as you. theyre not the epitome of confidence as your imagination might have you believe. just know that theyre just like you. (nervous, shy, goofy, geeky, unsure....etc) just try not to put so much pressure on yourself.

It's been said before (because it's true), but the more you talk to girls the more comfortable you'll be talking to them. At a certain point you'll get past the overwhelming choked up feeling.

At the least with me, I only ever have issues speaking when I'm intimidated by the female. Recently I have been apathetic about dating so my ability to have coherent conversations with females has been on the rise. I give my personal story regarding this to give you this advice, don't let yourself be intimidated and don't let the desire of dating consume your actions and emotions.mindstorm
