Drinking makes no sense to me and it only leads to problems, so I refuse to do it.
It seems like half the people at my school say, "Dude, I'm gonna get so wasted tonight," and end up coming to school on Monday looking like ****.

Good for you. Alcohol is not the problem...it's irresponsibility.LJS9502_basic
Exactly. When I drink, I just have a beer or 2, and thats it. And none of that Budweiser or Coors BS (Coors is the worst).

There's a line, and when most people talk about drinking they're talking about blowing way, way past that line.
You get over the immature novelty of binge drinking pretty fast...well, most people do, anyway. But there's a big difference between having a beer and getting drunk. I would never give up the opportunity to have a nice cold beer after work to relax just because some people cannot grasp the concept that drinking until they vomit everywhere and pass out face-first on the lawn is a waste of time and money.
I still hear teenagers talk amongst themselves about "Oh man, did you see how **bleep**-faced I got last night? That was AWESOME!" and it's depressing. Yeah, how cool are they. I guess there are very few people who actually enjoy their alcohol any more.
yeah, but the limit is one glass. More than that, and you start talking slurry and walking funny (lot of people say they can hold their alcohol, when about 1 out of those 100 actually can).

I'm 16 and I really don't care that I had plenty.
I enjoy getting ****faced and there's nothing wrong with it. It's the beer that likes me!There's a line, and when most people talk about drinking they're talking about blowing way, way past that line.

I had plenty of beers when I was 17 and I don't regret any of it. It paved the way for a lot of things in my adolescence, like when you've gone too far, or when getting ill with the ladies, beer was a helpful aid in all of that and I thank it for it.
It's not for everyone, but I certainly wouldn't be proud to say I've never had a beer, I think that just gives off an elitist attitude and tries to prove something that doesn't really need to be proven.
Good for you if you haven't or never plan to have a beer, there are plenty of people that do drink beer and are just fine, it's alcoholics that are the problem and having a few beers won't create one.well that's good to choose not to drink but don't get confused thinking all drinking is bad.
drinking in moderation is okay.
and a glass of red wine everyday is actually good for your health :)
Good for you. Alcohol is not the problem...it's irresponsibility.LJS9502_basicTrue. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a few drinks, as long as you are responsible about it.
My first real college party I was completely alone. All of my friends were off drunk and I have 14 shots of vodka, 6 beers, and ate these jello shot things...
I was in bad shape, yet did not puke. Severe alcohol poisoning. People were coming up to me and trying to get me out of the house so that they didn't get in trouble, my friends were nowhere to be found. I survived somehow but was drunk for 3 days after that.
I haven't drank anything more than a sip since.

drinking isn't bad. beer is good for your kidneys, wine good for the heart, vodka for the throat, getting drunk is bad and wrong cause it's messing up the body. everything in moderation.
I never had a drink either, nor do I plan to.
If I never try it, I wont know what I'm "Missing"; therefore, wont bother me. And peer pressure is stupid, ignore it for when it comes to drugs and alcohol.
I feel sorry for the kids that like getting wasted and do poorly in school who feel sorry for me because I'm apparently "Missing" a great part of life (Not).
Not saying drinking is bad for everybody. I understand, and think it's perfectly fine with adults, but under-aged drinkers, what's their reasons for drinking, a lot would hate to admit it for getting drunk.
Just an opinion, so don't be hating opinions.
You're proud? Fine, nothing wrong with that I guess but IMO you are missing out big time. If you don't want to get wasted then don't drink much, just drink slow. I don't see why people are hating on getting wasted though, it's great fun! Maybe you're just scared of what stupid crap you might do
Chances are you'll do and say things that were stupid, but it doesn't matter. Keep drinking and you won't remember anyway. I've also noticed that if you are shy with the ladies you are Mr. Confidence when you are drunk - not a bad thing - even if you get rejected you don't care because you are drunk... haha. Not drinking isn't a bad thing but I certainly wouldn't be bragging about being completely dry at a young age - that's when you are supposed to be enjoying yourself. It will get you closer to your friends for one because you will tell them a little more than perhaps you normally would, but that's a good thing.

smirnoff trible black (i know it's a girls drink but it tastes great especially while playing halo) and smirnoff vodka mixed in with some red bull. bull rush
I agree with the other chap that said your all evil too. Self indulgance is not wrong, nor hypocritical, while you (as i say)"PLUGS" (one that fears to stray from the system) feel that your all high and mighty, since you abide by christian rules and do what everybody tells you to do, thats a different "high" right there! Just because you do not flavor your reality with drugs or alchohol, you fill your lifes with food, television, medication, etc, etc, all of which are considered "SUBSTANCES" (or somthing you absorb) so you are all substance abusers. Just because I willingly use drugs and alchohl does not make me any less of a person, so all of you should get off your high horse. I've come to terms with my addiction and love how they distort my reality. If you miss out, good for you, but don't rub it in the open minded faces. mxronin5
how come you are so quick to blame Christianity?.. he didn't even say he was a Christian... he even cursed... you have something you want to tell us?

I don't have a problem with anything you have said here apart from the section of text I have underlined..for someone who has never drank a beer and refuses to how do you know it only leads to problems? Like the majority of users have said if you drink in moderation and don't get completely wasted like the other guys you over-hear saying that then you may actually have a good time. If drinking ONLY led to problems then people with common sense wouldn't do it.
