If you want an "emotional" rap song go listen to Toy Soldiers by Eminem (I will admit it's one of the few rap songs I know, but it craps over the song you posted big time imo).

I don't think acting like mainstream rap is bad makes anyone corny, but the blanket "mainstream rap is always bad" statements are pretty silly.

There is both good and bad "mainstream" stuff in any genre.

Of course I think Radiohead is better than this because the song doesn't flow well, and perhaps Radiohead has a more emotional delivery due to Yorke's vocals, but I see no reason why it's automatically more "real" as far as content is concerned.

Radiohead is a very good band IMO, but I hardly see how they are "real". "Real" is actually the last word I'd use to describe them.

I'm pretty sure this has that song beat in terms of an "Emotional Song". Also the version with his daughter is still sad when you think about how much time has passed with family and how much has changed, friends/family who have passed away.
