IMO Zeitgesit is pretty much correct. Britain and America are like Nazi Germany.

I love how for your defense in comparing US and Britain to Nazi Germany you pulled out Serfdom, which happened before Nazi Germany. So I'm pretty sure you should go do some more reading instead of watching a movie and thinking you know all, before calling people here morons...

Scarface_tm431

I'm not trying to defend myself. If you think I appear foolish then I have no problem with that.

Serfdom was the old way in which megalomaniacs inflicted control over the lives of the majority. The groundwork of which traces is routes back to the Roman Empire and is still existant in todays society.

I believe that Zeitgeist is trying to propose the re-establishment of Serfdom versus the Nobility upon the existing foundations of ex-serfdom in Britain and American influence from British establishment.

If the 'Men Behind the Curtain' are using religion to control people, then they're doing a piss-poor job of it, considering how some of the loudest conspiracy theorists are religious nuts, like Jack Chick, Kent Hovind, and other evangelists. >_>

Then men behind the curtain want to be the Nobles, and everyone else to be the Serfs.

You know, I just noticed there's a rather delicious bit of irony here, concerning the topic title. You pretty much came right out with Nazi comparisons.

But here's the funny thing. Let's look at modern-day Neo-Nazis. Things like JewWatch, Holocaust Denial, and the like. They have their conspiracy theories concerning the 'International Zionists' who are involved in a long-in-process conspiracy to control the world, through the media, through wars, and the like. Many of these views stem from a book titled 'The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,' which claims to be a transcript of a meeting between Zionist leaders, discussing how they will conquer the world.

There's a rather interesting parallel to the mainstream conspiracy theories - Zeitgeist insinuates that FDR was in league with the bankers, JewWatch claims he was a Jew. The Neo-Nazis, too, are ballistic about how the Jews are supposedly trying to take over the world.

You came out with Nazi comparisons, and yet, the Neo-Nazis are saying almost the exact same things as people like the makers of Zeitgeist. Hell, alot of the things in Zeitgeist are popular theories in anti-semitic circles. >_>

America isn't, nor is it becoming Nazi Germany. It does, however, seem to be turning into Ancient Rome.

that frightens me but I am afraid I sort of have that feeling as well.

But ya, Nazi Germany? Nooooooo way.

He's portraying the argument incorrectly though. Zeitgeist proposes that Jesus never actually existed.

http://www.conspiracyscience.com/articles/zeitgeist/part-one/ - Zeitgeist debunked. Please, if you're going to watch stuff like Zeitgeist/loose change please don't believe what you're seeing to be absolute truth. Always search for debunk essays like this one that actually have a full list of sources.

freedom is an illusion anyway, people are slaves to their DNA and what they've been tought, there is no free willmarkop2003

That is partially true. But freedom can also be limited by society. For example if government prevents people from living in a much bigger and richer country then that is a limitation on freedom or if socioeconomics prevents people from having what they need to live because they don't have enough money, that is also a big limitation on freedom.

Some of the things that were said in this movie were interesting, I'm not going to deny that, but I mean too think that Mexico Canada and the U.S. as one big nation without the consent of the people? Do you have any idea of how much of an uprising that would cause? I mean you do realize that this nation would be in complete havok. I mean the only thing I could say that I really kind of agree with in a way is not that the Rockafella family is actually involved in all that crap, but I believe they are definately corrupted in some way shape or form with all that cash they have.

Only if you define anarchy as the unrestrained rule of the strongest (which is not freedom at all), which is hardly what most anarchists have in mind. Personally i prefer anarchy over tyranny.

Complete freedom is impossible. There will always be someone who thinks their freedom is being ruined because someone else's isn't. Nothing would ever be achieved because there would be too many people to consult on every decision. Its an unrealistic thing to aim for.

Not exactly, but I've got a somewhat similar belief. You can't be anything you want, that's just crap you're fed from childhood. There are too many factors that put you down a set path through life that you can't break. Can a middle class kid with no economic understanding nor any interest in developing one really grow up to be the CEO of a major company?

Complete freedom is perhaps possible on a very small scale (like on the scale of a commune) but it's not possible on very large scales like on the scale of modern states because people do not agree with each other and the more people you have the more likely that they will disagree.

See I don't believe that crap. You can become anything you want if you put the effort in, unfortunately one of the things you mentioned such a CEO if you will is a limited factor to an extent. What was Bill Gates? He sure as hell wasn't this rich kid who had everything at his disposal.

The problem with capitalism is that it favors only the talented or gifted. As it is not in the best interest of the gifted ones to share their wealth with those who are not gifted (that would be communism), those who are not gifted or don't have any inherent talent end up being poor and miserable for the rest of their life. While Bill Gates was born to one of the richest families, he also got rich because he is very gifted in software and is also good in marketing.

"'Son' sounds like 'sun.'"

"Therefore, Jesus Christ was a ripoff of Horus."

*Not actual words, but the idea was presented all the same.

They also said Jesus Christ was born December 25. Whoever made Zeitgeist was an idiot with no amount of comprehension whatsoever.

Here's one you may want to tke a look at

Secret Rulers of the World

It goes through the same stuff concerning 9-11 and the events that lead to it, but in a more lengthy, yet more descriptive way.

You are correct tho, call it what you will, another 'Ancient Rome' - 'Nazi America' - 'Police State America' whatever the proper term is, the main idea is that our country has been and continues to go through transformations because of the people leading it, and I dont just mean Bush & Cheney.
