What do you like more? Tuners (NOT RICERS!!!) or Muscle.
I think they both have their advantages and disadvantages, but all in all I would go for a tuner. That doesn't mean I don't like my Z28 Camaro.
Now it's time for pictures of awesome cars!

American Muscle...NO QUESTION
1. the SOUND of the engine/exhaust (I don't like the sound of a pissed off bumble bee)
2. A tuner and or ricer may win single race, but if we race 10 times the tunerwill blow out something (engine, clutch, transmission, whatever) and the American Muscle will still be going strong
3. LOOKS...my evidence:
Tuners are, by definition, better when modified. Stock tuners would be blown away.
Personally, my favorite cars are tuners. Lancer Evolution, Subaru Impereza, Nissan Skyline, and Toyota Supra. I do love some American muscle though. :D
I love my Mustang to death, but the Mazda RX-7 is still my favorite car. So a slight edge to tuners I guess.
I grew up on japanese imports, so naturally I'm inclined to like them a little more. When I have a car that's older than me that hasn't been modified in any way aside from typical maintenance, that speaks leagues to me.
American muscle cars are very attractive, but they're also loud, obnoxious, and not particularly useful for commuting. If you get a tuner car, you can still drive it around town without worrying about 14mpg affecting you or your wallet.
But my dad is a Chevy man at heart and still has his 63 SS Impala tucked away for a sunny day. It's a gorgeous car.
He just opted for the more reliable and efficient choice when he married my mom, which at the time, was an Accord.
I prefer Japanese imports, tuners are fine, but I really just prefer something that's not too loud. Like a slightly modified Acura NSX. Completely subtle!
