Because they are both equal in that department...
It seemed to me like you were saying:
question: which of these bands is more legendary?
Answer: Neither. They're both just mainstream and not deserving of the title legendary. You know like when someone says "hey i love led zeppelin" and there's always that guy who takes the high-road and says "meh... mainstream..." I thought you were saying that neither band is legendary; as opposed to "neither is more legendary than the other" which would have been a little clearer.
If i misinterpreted i apologise. If you were indeed just saying that they both have equal numbers of hype and fans, that's fine. On this forum however where everyone seems to consider themselves grand overlord of musical taste, it's often natural to interpret things as hostility when it could be a simple comment.

I think he did, it was just a little unclear. You could interpret "neither" as "neither are legendary" or "neither is more legendary than the other."

Its still debatable....you could go into more detail then just generally saying that they both are mainstream and have a large fanbase. Please Log In to post.
