[QUOTE="testfactor888"] Since this thread was basically about opinions on the movie than for me my finding the movie boring does matter. For me it was not a good movie.

Why exactly did you find it boring then? Do you have any concrete examples of how the tension or pase of the movie was "bad".

The ending was easily predictable so the last half of the movie I basically just set there wishing it was over already. There was no real twist and no suspense in the movie for me. The movie was very full of itself in general and I found the story quite ludicrous to begin with. I went into the movie expecting to love it but all I came away from it after it was over was how dull I found it all to be. The whole side story about Leo's wife felt forced and in the long run I felt nothing for any of the characters. By the end of the movie I was just annoyed when the credits rolled around as I kept hoping the ending would surprise me.

In before you continue to berate someone for having an opinion which, as I said, was basically the whole point of this thread to begin with.

No suspense? The entire part where the van was in free-fall and the movie showed all three dream layers in real time and how they affected each-other was masterful. The movie was in no way dull, and the story being ludicrous? Well, Nolan indirectly told the audience to "have a leap of faith" with the whole Mombasa sequence which again was a masterful trick. Personal opinions? They're grately overrated.

Personal opinions are not overrated as everyone is allowed to have their own. If you enjoyed the movie good for you but don't try to tell someone their personal opinion about the movie is wrong. You won't win that battle

I went into the movie hoping to like it and as I like every other Nolan film I had no negative feelings going into it. At the end though I just did not like it at all and already stated why. To keep berating me though for my own opinion, especially when I am not trying to force my feelings onto others like you are, makes you seem very insecure. Gotta put other people down if they don't agree and validate your own opinion?

Doesn't deserve it. The characters don't project anything more than a terrific aura of utter banality, meaning that there's no attachment to any of them. The plot falls apart under any half-done analysis and has a very limited impact due to said banal characters.

Same here.. I enjoyed the movie a lot.. but there was so much more that could've been done also.. Either way, the movie was great.. It was if like he made the matrix into a total different thing

Very good movie. Plus, Ellen Page was in it and she's adorable.

Wasn't a huge fan of how quickly it seemed to end after they got out of the dream though.

Too many holes in it, way too many holes. I don't even know where to start with listing them, go visit Moviemistakes.com or something. I had to suspend my disbelief a lot and I know it wasn't exactly going for the true story approach but it spins a very tangled web.

The dreams don't feel like dreams, but I know they did that on purpose because they didn't want the film to seem too surreal as it will scare off most the viewers, and that's where my problem lies, I'm not the average viewer and that movie lacked balls. Could of been much more creative, it was more an action film with an over ambitious plot. One thing I remember about the film is how the people I was with, after we walked out the cinema and got in the car on the way out of town we all started talking, but no one talked about the film, we totally forgot about it.
