If all else fails with you not hooking up witih women there's always your sister or whatever. Its a free country. But in the good old USA its a big no no to get invovled with your ssiter or cousin while other countries get away with it.

TC, judging by this thread, I would not be surprised if your mother was your sister and your father was just an overly friendly dog.

You are now aware that in most states in america, you can marry your cousin. As long as they aren't the same gender as you.

That is just terrible.
Birth defects are a major reason.ZevianderThey're only really a concern after multiple generations of incest.
Idk I mean incest is pretty weird, but if people want to do it I don't care.chessmaster1989Pretty much
If its between consenting adults, it's really none of my business. So be it. Counsin relationships (especially 1st cousins) are actually LEGAL in some US states and perfectly normal in many cultures and religion.
Same can be applied to consenting homosexual relationships....its STILL practically taboo in the USA. And none of my business.
Whatever makes them happy.
As far as birth defects are concerned, Ive read there are just as much of a chance for couples, who are completely unrelated to each other, that can have children with birth defects, such as down syndrome, autism, missing one limb, or born with one lung, etc. Perfect example are my neighbors who are an interracial married couple who have a son who has mild down syndrome, but nonetheless, a good kid, with a nice heart. :)
Having sex I guess is one thing, but if you actually want to have kids with your sister OP, then I believe it fvcks around with the genes and fvcks your kids up.
Also: We're humans. We've grown up from being cavemen :P.

evidently, someone hasnt seen the episode "Home", from The X Files. Allicrombie
That episode is actually hard to watch in parts.
Have you taken a biology class ever? Probably not....YoshiYogurt1st cousin is okay but sister, thats not okay.
Birth defects are a major reason.ZevianderNot a good enough reason to outlaw incest. For one, if birth defects are the concern then the ban should be on reproducing, not on incest.
I know why I'm against it, that is on the basis of divine morality, although how the naturalist could justify being against it (which they often are) beats me.
What would I do if I walked in on my father screwing my daughter.
I'd watch while eating a whole bowl of popcorn

Actually not true at all, nor would the offspring of incest be more likely to be mentally deficient than anyone else (assuming the incest doesn't continue for generations).
Many ancient cultures practiced it, as well as Pharoahs etc. It does of course limit genetic diversity and create genetic bottlenecks (becoming more pronounced as the incest continues through the generations). Today we can see it in tight knit Amish/Mennonite communities where it's not bro/sis incest but they are so closely related that very rare genetic conditions like polydactylia (extra fingers/toes) have become disproportionately common. Again this is generation upon generation of people that are probably cousins reproducing with each other.
