SIGH.

1. I think Ford is done, so it will be either LeBeouf playing Mutt or LeBeouf playing young Indy. Guess how much I care which one they go with.
2. If they go on with the Mutt Arc, they have to decide whether to get some new villains, or move on. I'd recommend sticking with the Soviets, since we were lucky they didn't use the US last time.
3. George Lucas can only get more unbalanced from this point, so the quality of the film will depend entirely on how far Spielburg is willing to go in order to keep him from wreaking havok. I recommend restraining and sedating him whenever he starts talking about prairie dogs.

I wouldn't call this story "confirmed" just yet. Unless there's an OFFICIAL word from Spielberg or the studio itself, I'd file this under maybe.

That wasn't what was wrong with that film. The Indy series has never been rooted in realism, and the fridge gag was actually not out of place with the tone of the other movies; it looked cool despite not being entirely plausible in the real world.

I think the main problem wasn't the fridge or the aliens or anything people usually mention. It was just a general feeling I had that it was less of an action movie and more of an "adventure" movie. Indy hardly ever used a gun after the first scene, if I remember right.

Of course, that's in addition to the degraded quality of both the writing and acting.

But the last one was sooooo bad that it should be treated like a comedy.

When I watched the last Indy film, I thought someone entered a cheat code and unlocked the spoof UFO ending.

I think I'm the only one who liked Indy 4...enterawesome

I hope that Ford will be playing the main role and not Jones' kid :?
