Or by taking out Shia Lebuff. I don't want "NOnonnonononononononononono" every scene like in transformers.

That doesn't change the fact that the movie was awful. :x

And the computer animated ground hogs, and somehow being able to survive a nuclear blast by holing himself in a refridgator, and well... I could go on.4 really wasn't that bad, with the exception of the ending..

Well IIRC it was a nuclear shockwave, not a nuclear blast. And also the refrigerator was probably made of adamantium.

that must explain it. i know my fridge is made of adamantium.
I wouldn't call this story "confirmed" just yet. Unless there's an OFFICIAL word from Spielberg or the studio itself, I'd file this under maybe.

That wasn't what was wrong with that film. The Indy series has never been rooted in realism, and the fridge gag was actually not out of place with the tone of the other movies; it looked cool despite not being entirely plausible in the real world.
I think the main problem wasn't the fridge or the aliens or anything people usually mention. It was just a general feeling I had that it was less of an action movie and more of an "adventure" movie. Indy hardly ever used a gun after the first scene, if I remember right.
Of course, that's in addition to the degraded quality of both the writing and acting.
When I watched the last Indy film, I thought someone entered a cheat code and unlocked the spoof UFO ending.
