Inglorious basterds question

What did you think of the movie? I havn't seen it yet, but it seems a little violent and looks like it has kind of a "life is not sacred' kinda theme. But i heard its really good. Should i give it a chance?

its pretty good, kinda overrated but I liked it. There are other films this year that were better I thought.

The parts that are violent are pretty bloody but it's not violent through out. It's pretty entertaining...and most of the violence is against teh Nazis

Probably the best film I've seen in a long time.

Its another great Tarantino film.

I respect Inglourious Basterds more than I liked it. It was an alright film, but I was a bit disappointed. I need to see it again though just to be sure I didn't miss anything or not.

I agree with Jazz_Fan. It'll be worth watching when it comes out on DVD just for the scenes with Waltz. He was great in this movie...he carried the movie, in my opinion. Without his acting, it would have been just a bunch of aburd violence, intermingled with some beautifully shot scenes.

I didn't say to not watch the entire movie. I'm saying that without the great acting on Waltz's part, it would have been a fairly empty, mediocre movie. Sure, there were some beautifully shot scenes, but without the great acting to carry it, what would we be left with?

True, all the actors in the film did a great job....but, wouldn't you agree that Waltz's performances outshined others?

As to the violence...sure, it's fine in doses...and Tarantino always does it artistically...but anyone with enough money and studio clout can do a dumb violence movie these days. The good acting in this film is what sets it apart from other movies...meaning, it wasn't just a movie filled with dumb violence.

And I actually think the title is about every character of the movie. Everybody's both Inglourious and Basterd.

very bloody, violent, and life is certainly not sacred.

I loved the movie, better than I was expecting.

What really impressed me was the acting; Brad Pitt was great, and Eli Roth suprised me.

And the endng...AMAZING

The whole cast gave great performances, it wasn't Waltz alone making the movie worth watching. You also have the entertaining over the top violence...who doesn't like over the top violence?AAllxxjjnn

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I reallyhope Melanie Laurent gets a nomination.

As for the film, I didn't really care for it. There were a few scenes that I thought were brilliant and some really great performances, but that's it.
