Hey, ive contacted all internet providers around my area and the best thing they could offer me is an up to 20mbs wifi connection. Is that decent enough for online gaming? Mainly csgo. Thanks for your time

20mbs is fine, but I don't know about WiFi, I would prefer a direct (hard) connection.

This question is better suited for a game section.

When I was living in a rural part of the US I played FF14(MMO) on Verizon Home Fusion which was satellite internet at 12Mbps and while the internet data cap was dreadful($120 for 30gb a month...) it worked perfectly.

Wifi though is ehh... yeah you will most likely run into some lag problems wired is always better

Up until last year I was playing WOW and multi player games on the Wii, WiiU and X1 with 3mbs and most of it worked well 95% of the time. Now I have 150 so needless to say it is much better. Your 20 should be good.

I'm able to game on 6mbps wifi in Kuwait (the fastest I can get where I am at) that has an average 6ms ping. I would prefer to go wired, but it isn't an option, although I haven't had issues playing Black Ops 3 or Street Fighter 5 as long as I'm matched with people near my area.

When it comes to games like shooters and fighting games, ping is more important than the down/up speed, because if you have a huge ping, it will cause serious lag that can get you killed in game.

I game on 5mbps currently, but I'm used to 15-60mbps. I envy you.
