Well, if the current models have anything to say about it, the Zune will be much, much better.

Hardware wise and potential wise I think the Zune will be better. But Microsoft has a reputation for limiting the abilities of their hardware with their software.

Itouch is an amazing product, no doubt. But Zune's products always improve over apple's and I think if anyone can challenge Apple's app system..It's zune.

Odd..my old ipod's have been a pain in the ass for me. My zune is very durable, I dont even have a cover on it. ive dropped it a million times.

I agree the Itouch was a huge improvement over the old Ipods, but so are the new zune products. The Zune HD when it comes out will deff. be as good or even better than the touch (I think so). Ever since the first gen Zune, they have been getting better and better.

I have no doubt the Zune touch will be better other than possibly the app store which is very impressive on the iPod/iPhone touch.

Although after my 120GB Zune that just broke, I'm considering not buying a Zune again, M$ seriously has the WORST repair service I've ever encountered.

Duh. I was comparing each player's strong side. Video playback may be strong on the player, but you always get better playback on computer screen, t.v screens, etc. The main focus of portable players is music. If that's a weak side of the player, then it's ultimate purpose is defeated. Since the zune has better music playback than the touch, it wins as a device for playing music. Since the touch is renown for it's application support, it wins as a multimedia device(in terms of variety). But we don't know the quality of video for the zune hd yet so we cannot compare those to aspects yet.
