And? As a Muslim I can safely tell you this is not related to Islam at all, it's all about Shia's Twelve Imams; which Islam have nothing to do with. That's not even to say Tatbir is bad (which by Sunni-oriented Islamic standards, is very bad), it is a private ritual that stresses consent before participating, not to mention flagellation is common throughout the world's religions.
