The problem is that with all the lack of action, the character development was still a letdown. It was your typical comicbook hero movie character development, rushed and superficial. I never actually empathized with Tony Stark at all, I was like "that sux" but he didnt really feel like a "real" person. ON the other hand, TDK and Batman Begins had phenominal character development. IMO, The only reason people gave Iron Man such glowing reviews was because it was slightly above the other super hero trash out there but as soon as TDK came out, im guessing alot of critics wanted to change their Iron Man reviews :P
Its all about the characters in the film though.It would be harder to to feel for Tony Stark as he was one of the richest guys around and could through money at whatever he laid his eyes on.Please Log In to post.
