I've done that before. Hell, I went to see Silent hill revelations in theaters and I was literally the only person there :P
[QUOTE="worlock77"][QUOTE="TruthTellers"]I'm not joking at all. This is the main reason I don't go to the cinema by myself because it always makes me feel like I have no friends. It's one of my top five problems with myself. It affects me so much that I never went to go see the Avengers because I had nobody to go with. It affects me so much that I probably won't see Pacific Rim or Wolverine or Kick-Ass 2 even though I really, REALLY want to go see them.daveydark
If it helps realize that nobody there is going to be paying any attention whatsoever to you.
thats a lie, everyone stares at loners like they dont belong. No they don't, especially in a theater.

I don't know... I've never thought about it. I've never gone to the movies alone. It was always standard procedure to get on the horn and get my close friends to go. Or they'd invite me to the movies.
If nobody could make it, we'd just see it at a time when we could get several people to go.
It never even occured to me to see a movie alone is what I'm getting at.
I'm sure I've seen a guy alone at the movies before... but I apparently never noticed because I can't remember ever noticing or caring if a guy was there alone. So I guess it's not creepy.
Unless it is a kid's movie or something, I really don't see the issue. That being said I've really only done that once when I wanted to see The Dark Knight Rises. Otheriwse I've been with family or friends.
That was creepy Thanks for posting it i liked itNah, nothing creepy about it.
Now, THIS is creepy...

Nothing but the Truth. There are far more awkward situations in life than going to the movies alone. At least once in the lights are out the focus is only on the movie. Going out to dinner alone is far more awkward or even going with friends when you are a 3rd,5th, maybe even 9th wheel and you have to get a check for just one. I wouldn't go to the drive in alone however and i've never gone to an amusement park alone either. Some stuff just isnt as much fun unless you are sharing it with someone. Movies are pretty much the only semi social outing that really isnt too big a deal if you go alone or with others. For me it's about seeing a movie that looks good and on a bigger screen and better audio than i have at home. If i can share the experience with a friend then it's all the better, but if not i still can have some fun and waste a few hours if i have nothing better to do that day anyways. I will also say that it's a little less awkward going during the day in the middle of the week since sometimes only a dozen people will see a screening whereas going by yourself on a friday night to a packed theater would probably make you feel like a little bit more like a loser and make yourself more neurotic about the situation than you should be.Kurushio
Actualy, I love going to the amusement park by myself. As a coaster junky, I love getting 5 or 6 (20oz.) beers into me and then getting on the roller coasters. I don't have to wait around for someone to make pit stops or have to ride rides I do not like ro see shows I do not care for. That said, Verbolten is a trip while intoxicated.
[QUOTE="mems_1224"]I could never go to a restaurant or movie theater alone. Id feel like such a loser.Jd1680a
Theres nothing wrong going to a restaurant by yourself. I like to go to ones with a bar. I just sit down and order my food.
You may even get lucky enough to meet someone in the bar to talk with. I had a flight delay so I went and ate in the Airport bar, order some drinks and food and ended up talking with a guy and the bar tender for about 2 hours. Not really. If you really want to see a movie and no one else is interested in going, then I see nothing wrong with it. I have never bothered to actually look around a theater and see who is by themselves, and I don't think anyone else cares if you are alone. That being said, I have never gone by myself. It would feel weird not having a person to discuss the movie with after watching it.

If you're a middle-aged man and you're going to see a kids' movie by yourself, it's creepy. Otherwise, it's not. It might be a testament to your loneliness, though.
Timely and relevant...

Sometimes I wish that the film that was about to come on the movie screen were one of the ones from the previews; wouldnt that be cool if that happened once? the man continued, in what reports indicate could possibly be one of the most utterly pathetic sentences ever uttered by a human being.
Done it a few times in my early teen years. I Robot, Mr and Mrs Smith and The Incredibles. Had the urge to see i robot alone for some reason, but the other 2 were just out of pure boredom and no one being around at the time. I doubt i would be secrue enough to do it now.
