I'm dodging gunfire as I type this.

I work for the La eMe you know, we organized a hit on you, I guess they failed.
Yep, it is indeed. They have 25% of the worlds convicts, and they are swarming with gangs because of the capitalist system of inequality. optiowI laughed. Gangland isn't the best source for that information. There are large gangs sure, but the actual threat they represent isn't exactly huge. Most deal in victimless crimes, and even then there's not gangs *everywhere.*

Dude, I'm sorry I wore a red bandana to McDonalds that one time. I am in no way affiliated with Nuestra, okay? STOP SENDING HIT MEN PLEASE.I doubt they are "everywhere", Rural towns in the middle of seemingly nowhere isn't likely to have a gang in it, But the major cities are pretty much certain to have two or more gangs. And it isn't just in the US, Europe, South America and Asia have gangs aswell, or Organized crime syndicates/groups.Treflis
Ya I know, I also heard this American guy said that there's about 120 million gang members in US, is he crazy?

there may in fact be 120 million members
but that doesnt mean that theyre all commiting crimes simultaneously on a daily basis (its not as bad as it was in the early 90's)

So a third of Americans are affiliated with some gang? I had a feeling my dad was tied to the Mongols:o.

i dont think the 120 million thing is true
That's it! You know what, I'm gonna move to America one day and live in Compton helping troubled kids get back to their feet, I am willing to die to help them, no joke.
that made me laugh :') oh you V !I have yet to go out for bread and not be raped. Its terrifying here.

America isn't the worst. It isn't even inthe top 10 mafia list (Except the Mexican Mafia). http://myamazingfact.blogspot.com/2010/01/top-10-biggest-mafias-around-world.htmlThis list isn't 100% accurate by the way.
Plus the gangs are usually in a certain area, not all over the country.
Yep, it is indeed. They have 25% of the worlds convicts, and they are swarming with gangs because of the capitalist system of inequality. optiowand here i thought most of that was because of unjust laws such as prohibition....
every time i go outside its for a loaf of bread and a rape. *hands card* gimmy a callI have yet to go out for bread and not be raped. Its terrifying here.

-Brooklyn, NYC.-
Aside from robberies, grand theft, and club shootings - it's been pretty tame the last couple of years.
Christmas just passed and about 4 people I know had loved ones robbed at knife/gunpoint.
It used to be more dangerous here, now yuppies and tourist can walk freely through the streets like they're in Manhattan SMH.
No. It's not like that. I've lived in either Dayton or Cincinnati for most of my life. For as long as I can remember they've both been showing up on "Most Dangerous Cities" lists. Yeah, theres a lot of crime. There's gang activity. LOTS of drugs.
But for the most part if you mind your business everyone else minds theirs. You just have to watch out. I guess that could be hard though if you don't know what to look for.
Actually the more I think about it the worse this place is.
I've watched Gangland and they make it look like everyone is in a gang and if you're not in a gang you're probably going to find yourself in the middle of a drive by at the grocery store. It's not like that.
No it's not. Why would you believe Hollywood has anything right?LJS9502_basic
Hmmm.. Ganglands is not a Hollywood production from what I know, it was aired on the history channel for crying out loud. The United States does have a gang problem, but so do most countries.. I would say we are probably the worse of first world countries no where the worse in countries overall.

Well soon the gangs would takeover America and there's no Batman, so basically they're screwed in so many ways.

There have always been gangs in history.....never took over the country though.[QUOTE="stevoqwerty"][QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]

Most third world countries are ruled by gangs, their governments are gangs. Hmmm, maybe the same could be said for all countries.

I don't think so. When a gang is in control the people can't vote out the leaders.....[QUOTE="Zyrokin"][QUOTE="AtlanticRock"]

Thank the legal handguns.pspdseagleYeah, that's the only factor at play here. Everyone knows that the mere presence of those EVUL guns makes people resort to violence and senseless bloodshed. Things like long-standing feuds, drugs, ghettos etc. etc. have NO part in it. It's all about the guns. Well done, sir.
You can really tell which posters are from actual troubled spots.

wow, talk about exageration.
1. No, we are not swarming with gangs. THere are just areas with a high ratio of gang members. You will not get shot if you come to America unless youre an idiot and go to the wrong area. And just stay out of LA lol, I dont know why anyone would live there outside of professional reasons
2. What is capitalism lacking in the equality department? Its pretty fair; it rewards hard work, punishes slackers, and rewards/penalizes risk greatly. It just gets abused quite frequently by the very rich.
