Is America the greatest country in the world?

I live here, my salary is of the top 14% and I still think this country is trash with all the racism, homelessness, and ignorant people roaming around. I go into the city and see tent cities and wonder how can the government with billions of dollars allow this. The US government can take everyone off the streets with the right programs if they really cared. And the privileged people who had everything handed to them act like it's the fault of people who had tougher lives growing up. This country is trash because of the mentality of a lot of the people here and the ignorance of the government bodies also.

How can it when trump slogan is. Make America great again?.

Overall yes. America is very diverse country, geographically and culturally. Different people will have different interpretation of what great is and I think America can accommodate the largest ranges of different definitions of "great", more so than any other country on earth.

It is the greatest in these areas:

- political influence
- scientific innovations
- economic relevance
- military power

Subjectively speaking, I wouldn't put quality of life in the world's top 10, but probably top 20 in the world.

That said, the negative political influence that the US has over the world somewhat undermines its greatness a bit. Not that it is the most evil and ruthless country in the world, but its power and arrogance gives it a capacity to cause a lot of instability in the world.

Britain is, if we still include the US as a colony.

No, there is a lot of corruption but if say anything bad they will place you on the fbi watch list.
