Depends on what ages you're talking about. I think a 16 with a 19 year old is too much of a difference, but after you turn 18, I don't really see age as much of an issue.
Sometimes just 2-3 years changes maturity lvls when it comes to 20 or so.Later than that doesnt matter much.Unless said person is still very immature anyway.
It's usual for girls to go out with lads a couple of years older than them (even as teens I think that's ok as long as it isn't over 2/3 years) but the other way around is a bit weird. As adults age gaps are meaningless - there was 7 years between my mum and dad and over 10 between her and her new partner.
As you get older, age difference means less. 14 to 18 is world of difference compared with 24 to 28. My grandfather is 82 and is married to a lady in her 60's, and it's not that strange. If my 54-year old dad started dating a lady in her early 30's, we all might be a bit scared though. The girl I liked for a long time was 4 years younger than me... your view on age just changes as you get older.
I think when both people are in their 20s its not a problem. But for teenagers I consider age difference a huge problem. I wouldn't dare touch a girl over a year and a half younger then me or more then a year (grade) below mine. I also can't understand guys who are like 19 going for girls 17 and younger. Its just weird to me for some reason, I dunno.
for teenagers, age difference can matter, but if we are talking about a 29 year old and a 27 year old, then age difference doesn't really matter at all.
