Is anyone afraid of growing up?

Im 16 and have been just realizing the fact that im graduating in 2 years. That means, college, my own job, my own house, marriage sometime or later, and everything. The whole job and car thing really sparked these thoughts. Ive already been drowned in job applications but i havent got a job yet. I do have a car though, and my parents are helping me pay for gas and shtuff. I guess Im not really afraid of getting older and completely independent, im just shocked at how fast i grew up. Its weird.

Growing up came on me quickly 2. It stinks. I used to get away with a lot more stuff as a kid. But i'm still one at heart.

I think I will stay the same way i am now when i get older too. Masturbation jokes and all.

I know the feeling. I'm even more anxious about the future now that I'm a semester away from graduating college than when I was in high school. ...though I will be just going to another school. I'll be done one day... *looks into the future*

The fact that friends of mine are now married with kids adds to that...

I look forward to the future and am excited about it. ...just seems weird as you say.

That's awesome. Good luck to you with her (Although I'm sure you don't need it because it's lasted a year) My most recent was 4 months but I left her on good terms.

Being an adult will suck. on top of going toi university, getting a car job house all of that, u have to pay bills, taxes, food, gas and a bajillion other things. being 14 is awsome i don't want to get older!imthemostwanted

True, being an adult is very demanding, but also the freedoms gained from living on your own are very rewarding to a lot of people.

Look at it this way; If you go to college, that means you put off "growing up" for another 4 years.

Not only that, but college is the best 4yrs of your life.
