Im definatly not a perfectionist. But i know alot of people who say they are, and when they do they try to say it like its some psycological disease, but you can tell they think they just happen to be better than other people on instinct.

I dunno... Maybe im just naturally lazy. I think people can be perfectionists in some things, but very few are in every situation. Normally they just say it to... to what? Make themselves seem more important? i dont know.

I dont know if its possible, but I am a borderline perfectionist. Like I am not over-complusive disorder and really dont start going ape if things dont go perfectly, but on things like school, me and some other things I have perfectionist tendancies. My sister on the other hand sets out her cereal the night before and that kind of stuff, now thats too far for me.

I have never met a perfectionist in my life. There are plenty of people that say they are but they're just lying.

Oh yah thats what i mean. Most people say it as they are revising something, and just want something to say. I think.

it'd b horrible being a complete perfectionist, like staying up all night just to take up the last secret blockhead in okami but sometimes i'll get bothered in mgs if i take out every single guard then just find a hole in the fence so i'll restart

some ppl have OCD so they'll like touch the wall twice evri time they go in a room and stuff, that would b bad

objectively, everything is perfect because when you take away attributes of which we make comparisons, you would see that every physical object in the universe is unique for existing in its own time and space. Its the minds ability to observe the world subjectively that gives us imperfection because. As we begin to assign attributes to objects and ideas we begin to compare them to other similar things based on our likes and dislikes, giving use the idea that things are less perfect than others.

In truth, each blade of grass is perfect. Not because of its shape, or color, or lenght, but because in all the universe, the matter that makes up that single blade of grass only exists in one place in all time and space.

There's nothing wrong with trying to put forth your best effort and all. Just as long as you don't turn it into something like OCD. Some people get so obsessed and become control freaks.

No, because life and the important things in life won't ever be perfect.

I guess perfectionism just reflects how important something is to a person, details meanmuch. They probably have too much free time as well so splitting hairs is the onlyactivity they have to occupy.

It is not good at all.

I'm a perfectionist myself. If there is just one thing wrong, on a paper or something, and it isn't perfect, then it feels like I completely failed. Since nothing can ever be done perfectly, I always feel like a failure whenever I do something. That kind of feeling is nothing to be proud of.

You think being a perfectionist is bad? Imagine being both that and lazy. You need way too much time to get yourself to do anything, only to almost always be disappointed at the result, destroy it all, then wait another too-long period before you can bring yourself to try again.

I don't think its exactly bad, but its not too good to be so uptight and perfect. But usually at my school the "Perfectionist" is the person who somehow doesn't fail a thing, has no mistakes, has fricken 103% on his report cards, etc. I've seen people like that. But that's not a bad thing, they're just too smart for their own good:P.

I am a perfectionist. I already know what I'm going to be doing three months from. My whole life is already planned out. I organize my clothes in the order of what day of the week I'm going to wear them on. I also pre-divide my toilet paper so I already can wipe my butt without having to rip them off the roll when I'm using the restroom. I also measure every calorie I take in whem eating, and every calorie I lose in exercise so I don't gain too much weight.

Just kidding. Who cares about being perfect? I just want to be the best I can become.

Humans love symmetry; symmetry is a form of perfection. Therefore, everyone is kind of a perfectionist.

being a perfectionist is like believing in the easter bunny.

You can only achieve your goal when you've gone crazy.

I'm like that, too! *sees a crooked book and fixes it* And yet, at the same time, I'm not. My room is a mess right now, although organized in some places. I normally try to be perfectionist concerning grammar, though.

(the above corrections are just there as a joke; I don't always correct people)

Being a perfectionist is worse than not being one because you'll be insecure about anything less than perfect (for example: a clean floor with just a sock on it, squeegying a car when it's aready good, combing hair until it's perfect even though it looks fine, hour showers and/or 3 showers a day). Yep.

It depends on the situation. Being a perfectionist if you're performing brain surgery would probably be a good idea, but say you're parking a car or something. If you're a perfectionist, it wouldn't be good to spend 10 minutes going in and out of the space trying to get the car in just right.
