It scares me when I think of death. Not dying but death. It's the ultimate unknown. Nobody knows really anything about death. I fear things like my brain creating some awful hallucinations. Then I fear the nothingness. To me death is where fantasy and reality cross paths. It makes you question reality itself. Where all going back to the same place creation started. It's still scary to me.

I'm not scared of death, just because I know it's something that's unavoidable. What I'm worried about is regretting the life that I lived before it happens.

I'm just concerned on surviving this life and hoping this isn't the only life.

Are you afraid of the billions of years before you were conscious? Death is the easy part, I'm more afraid of dying some horrible, prolonged torturous death.

Why would death be scary? its inevitable, all that is up in the air is when and how.

So i don´t fear or feel scared by death no reason to, it's like fearing tomorrow or the sun rising.

@slipknot0129: That's understandable. It's a common fear to have; that's why so many people turn to religion honestly, a lot of times it's simply faith founded in fear.

There's a lot scarier things than death. Being tortured whilst having your vitals monitored so you just feel unending pain would be one of them.

I'm not a fan of enclosed spaces to be honest so being stuck in say a vent miles underground would get to me fast, I'd be begging for someone to just end it already.

The comforting things about death is everyone who's ever lived has experienced and willl experience it. It's the one thing we all have in common.

nope, death ain't scarin' me,it's part of life for countless generations, either it's from the past or the future we will never know it's coming true...what is life and death without "death"? it's not like we're invincible for many years to come...no,dying is more frightening, because you're still alive and there's so much to do.

I just want the chance to use the line "yeah it hurts, but, in a good way, you know?" That's all I ask.

@slipknot0129: I use to be afraid of death, but to be honest why worry about the inevitable? It's a destination we all share. Everything that lives, must die at one point.

When you come to appreciate life in general, your fears of death will disappear.

Been close to death before more than once, it was quite peaceful so no, not afraid of death. I'm more afraid of being in a horrible accident, NOT dying and spending the rest of my days in agony.

Since I won't know about it, most likely I don't spend a lot of time worrying about it. What would be scary would be for your body to die but your consciousness is still aware and stuck in your corpse.

I wouldn't say I am scared of death, except for a few certain ways of dying. If I am just going to pass out or die in my sleep without suffering, I am ok with it.

How much I am aware of before I die scares me. For instance, drowning would be terrible as it is fairly prolonged and you are conscious.

Who the **** cares what happens when you die, what "life" do you have if you walk around being anxious about something that most likely just is an off switch.

There's worse fates than death, if you somehow doubt that you are just shitting on millions upon millions of people suffering in the world right now.

@slipknot0129: I'm not worried about death. Whatever happens or doesn't happen after death is unavoidable and we'll eventually find out which is kind of cool. What I am afraid of is losing my life early from sickness, being murdered, or being a victim of a natural disaster. Reason why would be because I never got to have a chance at living my life to the fullest.

I think the moments leading up to death are the scariest part. Which is why people always wish for a painless, quick death.

There were a few times when I thought I might be dying, but it didn't scare me enough to go to the hospital. I just figured, "at least if I die, I don't have to go to work tomorrow", and then just sort of waited around to see what would happen.

Yes death is a little scary but I find life to be much more scary.

In life you can actually experience a lot of pain (like when you get seriously injured) but when you are dead you no longer suffer from any pain and so all of your problems (especially financial problems) disappear.

So actually I'm not afraid of dying, I'm afraid of living.

Obviously your perception of death depends on your religious beliefs; it can vary from jubilation to apathy to terror. I feel that as a religious person I should be more scared of death but I'm not. I tend to attribute it to the impertinence of youthfulness, but maybe it's blessing.
