According to religion its wrong, but besides that do what u want who cares if it is or isn't morally wrong.zsc4According to "some" religions it's wrong.....not all.
why would drinking be morally wrong? brianpoetzelI don't know.....it has health benefits if not abused.
No. The act of drinking is perfectly fine. It's the actions of some people that drink that are immoral. There is nothing wrong with drinking as long as it is done at the proper time and place and is done in moderation.SmashBrosLegendI'd agree with that, if you ask someone religious why they are against drinking in the first place they will no doubt list those select outcomes. Its those actions that are questionable, not the act itself. I'm willing to bet that more people drink responsibly than those who don't, it's just the horror stories are the only ones you hear about.
[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="brianpoetzel"]why would drinking be morally wrong? jm4847I don't know.....it has health benefits if not abused. Because drinking alters your mood. You're different when you drink. The same goes for chocolate...

I was just pointing out that just about anything you eat will change your mood. What your talking about is a loss of judgement, and that is dependant on how much alcohol you drink, not just the fact that you are drinking alcohol.
Usually bad things happen when ppl drink booze... so I'm going with it being wrong. No religious reason.sinistergoggles
thats when you dont limit yourself. and get in a car or something. good things happen too. i met GF when i was drunk. seems like a good thing to me
He's mine as well, we met at a Truck Stop in New York, funny story actually.... BRILLIANT[QUOTE="supercubedude64"][QUOTE="-911-"][QUOTE="supercubedude64"]JACK DANIEL IS MY FRIENDharrisi17
I love those commercials
Me too, I've been guilty of using the phrase "Brilliant " a time or two :lol:Drinking morally wrong? No. As someone said earlier (if your christian this goes for ya) JESUS drank. No you dont hear about him getting sloshed and hookin up with mary magdolin, but point is, he drank. Perhapse in moderation....heck, he even turned WATER TO WINE at a wedding party! Talk about a guy youd want around! ;), any how, I think Drinking is absolutely fine, just as long as it IS NOT ABUSED, and as long as you dont get behind the wheel while under the influence. You can control how much you drink, and really if you are drinking , and you KNOW your going to get drunk and be unable to drive, then be RESPONSIBLE and give your keys to someone who is going to stay sober, or dont even drive to the party yourself...catch a ride and then stay the night. Thats how we do it. We always stay the night -camp out in the yard. ...if we can find the tent by the time we are ready to crash lol, then usually the floor in the livingroom works well.
EDIT: Oh...and I forgot..If you are too irresponsible to not drink and drive, then YES it is morally wrong. If you know your gonna get drunk, then drink and get behind the wheel....you are very wrong. And if you HAVE to go have a drink every night and then come home and if it turns you into a violent person and YOU KNOW IT DOES (and you do know that it does...you find out as soon as your sober...) THAT is when its morally wrong and you shouldnt do it.

So shouldn't it be 'drinking and driving' is morally wrong? I would agree with that because you put others in danger.
