Is Game of Thrones Worth Watching?

I keep hearing so much about this amongst my friends, them all claiming it's the best thing to happen to TV in years. When it first started, I watched the first episode and wasn't really captivated enough to continue after that. Am I missing out? Should I watched through both seasons in my spare time?

I watched the first episode and I didn't find it all that special but I will give it another shot.

It's probably my favorite show on TV right now.

That said, if the first episode wasn't enough to draw you in, it might not be your cup of tea.

If you like drama, the Dark Age kind of feel, violence, and sex (not all of it is incest, as many people love to throw out there), then you'll love it lol.jesuschristmonk

I do fancy myself a good fantasy setting, it's why I was originally invested in watching it.

Pretty great miedival/fantasy show. Great drama, great characters, and awesome conflct. Both seasons are great and worth watching.

I don't watch much tv outside of sports and I watch GOT nuff said.

I was thinking about giving this as a gift for Father's Day. We both enjoy Sean Bean, fantasy, and war strategy. Just feel a lil' worried about the nudity :lol:

First season I enjoyed but this one not so much. Probably 4-5 of episodes have bored me to death and this past weekends finally got interesting towards then end but next weekend is Season Two's finale so need to wait another year.

I have a feeling this is going to go over their budget like Rome and Deadwood and end after Season 3.

It definitely is. Probably worth reading it more though.

Anything is worth giving it a shot, from expierence I'd say watch the first few episodes. If YOU like it, keeping going. Everyone has different opinion, yours may defer from mine. But to answer, yes just watch it.

So I'm like, this is no good. Too much intrigue just to create intrigue, a lot of you know that I know, that he said this? No I know but I won't tell you now.
But then some really cool (or sad) **** happens and I'm right back in. And I'm like yeah! Some more plot twists. This is awesome! Annnd it's back to horrible soap. So... I don't know. I still don't know.

Absolutely. It's one of the best TV shows ever.

It's easily one of the best shows on TV and a great translation from book to screen. There are some parts from the books I wish they included but from the most part the changes are good.

But The Sopranos and Breaking Bad are both excellent.

Everybody should watch it so they can keep on making more eps

I'd say just read the books. I've seen like six epsisodes, they seem to be following it very closely, so you might as well read it in the original and better medium.
