[QUOTE="mems_1224"][QUOTE="BreakingDeath"] You got a lot of shows to catch up on, buddy. You should start with The Wire, Breaking Bad, and The Sopranos. ;)BreakingDeaththe wire is extremely overrated. i saw season 1, it was good. overrated but good. season 2 was terrible so i stopped caring breaking bad is good, but again, overrated. ive only seen season 1 though and i want to go back and finish it and sopranos was just boring to me, i couldn't get into it. im not into most mafia movies or shows game of thrones, friday night lights and 24 are probably my favorite shows ever, idk theres a lot of great shows. How are either shows overrated if you haven't finished them/caught up with them? If you finish all four seasons of Breaking Bad, you will definitely see it is A LOT better than Game of Thrones. Yeah, it's official; Game of Thrones is the most overrated show I have ever watched. not gonna watch the wire. it shouldnt take 3+ seasons for a show to get good
It's great to watch, better to read.Travo_basicI started reading the first book, it definitely goes into a lot more detail of the characters and find out a lot more on why certain things happen or decisions that were made that they really don't go into detail for the series. I definitely agree.

I'm almost done with season 1, and it's quite interesting. It's almost as if were watching two completely different shows(literally - speaking in context of Game of Thrones and The Wire).

You thought it to be pretty boring and yet you watched ALL of them. lol
It sucks you in without you realizing it. You've been captivated without even knowing it.
Great show, prone to episodes that are nothing but exposition sometimes, but unlike Walking Dead (one other show I watch), that normally has a payoff pretty quick.D3nnyCraneBlackwater!

Never really been much of a reader though.
I wasn't either. I literally read 8 books my whole life (on my own and I'm 30) before jumping into ASoFaI. Now I'm depressed that I have to wait for the next book to come out...[QUOTE="sune_Gem"][QUOTE="Travo_basic"]It's great to watch, better to read.Chutebox

5 books out currently. 2 more to go.[QUOTE="sune_Gem"]5 books out currently. 2 more to go.How many books are there? How many of them does the TV show cover?

I'll add on to this:
The first season of the show covered the first book, the second is covering the second. The third and fourth seasons of the show will cover the third book. After that, I have no idea.
