[QUOTE="Rekunta"] [QUOTE="Crimson_Faith"]The voting process is there to make us "think" we actually have a choice. But regardless of who has the most votes, the government is gonna get who THEY want. Just like when Bush was first elected, do you actually think that recount was an accident? No, they wanted him as president, and therefor did what needed to be done to get it. And what usually needs to be done is a lot of lying and deceiving. Just what the government is good at. The truth is that we have no real choice, cause regardless of what we want, the government is gonna do what they want. And the sad thing is, most Americans are to nieve to see it.-Dionysus-
While I wouldn't doubt that corruption has taken place, I still think voting works. Otherwise Bush and his administration would not have lost the majority of seats in the House and Senate.
I find it slightly comical you only associate corruption with Bush and not democrats.Â
How did you come up with this? I didn't even speak on democrats, you have no basis to state I only think a certain way about a certain party. The democrats are just as guilty in my view.  And when I state that voting works when the Bush Administration is in power, how is that in any way inferring that they are corrupt? Wouldn't the fact that the elections changed the seat of power towards the democrats go to show that Bush had no hand in directing the outcome?Â
I was speaking of corruption in politics in general, take it easy.
