watch Mean Girls... you'll get a general idea....gorilazandgames
ahhh that was funny.
Lindsey...she was so damn cute (and hella fine!) back then...WHAT HAPPENED!?!? Why do girls want to weight under 110 pounds?
One thing I just HAVE to know - do you have those endless lines of lockers lining the walls of the corridors?mmogoon
my school did, but it wasnt endless. Out school consisted of just rooms that went maybe 80 yards, and the corridors were outside so we didnt have inside hallways. THe lockers would just be outside some of the classrooms.

just be in the middle of algebra and then burst into a melodic song in which everyone joins in on and becomes friends. yeah right.
Through out my "high school life," (I'm a senior) my school has had a total of seven fights. We're a rather large school too, around 2,500. Most people are kind to one another. The ones that aren't just avoid each other rather than fight over something trivial.
But everyone sticks to their "clique" exclusively. From my stand point, the people in upper classes(not necessarily upperclassmen) are always together, and the kids who don't give a crap about school stick together, and there is a major difference between those groups of students.
Over all, high school can be partially represented in movies, but every school is different. Another high school, about 2 miles away from mine, has fights at least 4 times a week, and their policy isn't as strict as my school's.
Naturally we do break out in song and dance. And those social groups don't exist. We all can sing and dance. Imagination Land is great!
My school has about 900-1000 people, so it's average sized. Has lots of white people trying to be black (been suspended for using the term for that before), and I don't think I've seen that too often in the movies. My school has the jocks, preps, nerds, etc. and the so called emo's basically hang out with lots of different groups and are split up, believe it or not. There's drama, average bullying (mostly just from the stoners), and stuff like that, but it's got a really boring tone at my school for some reason. Plus, half the people at my school just don't give a **** about it, and I'm sadly one of them. I'm in grade 9, and my science class average is like 58% or 61%. Not too many people care about their grades, as long as they pass.
But that's just my school, I'm sure I'd have a different opinion if I went to a different one. The movies just exaggerate some of the stereotypes, though some are there, just toned down.
it is kinda like the movies but not always..
usually the people getting in fights arent the jocks but the losers or gangbangers who are angry
everyone usually makes fun of everyone and that starts fights
if you live in chicago or some place the schools are usually retardedly obnoxious (gangs, drugs, prom night dumpster babies haha)
but i dont think ive ever seen an AV club or chess club but i def would have joined them despite insults
the movies are usually based on peoples own experiences so theres some truth to them

Yeah, I know, imagine when one of them does drugs and they do a whole PSA over the entire school.Depends which movie and which high school. The Breakfast Club was kind of similar to my Saturday school experiences. I skipped class a lot, and got caught a lot...so I had to make up time in Saturday school. On those Saturdays, I spent my time doing homework or writing and laughing at the commotions the "trouble" students would create...there were some real gut busters. I probably would have been closest to Anthony Michael Hall's character.
[QUOTE="muthsera666"]Give a specific movie, and we might be able to tell more. There are too many movies depicting high school in different manners to be able to answer the question accurately.markop2003
