i think not, but it can't be helped as i am quite emotional and sensitive (not a cry baby ofcourse, just strong emotional values) person. i mean at most times in most people's life sad happenings make them emotionless, however good happenings make them more and more emotional then they were before. but i am afraid emotions can't be killed, one can only try to be hard on self, but overall everybody is sensitive and emotional in life, thats what i think. overall anything overdone in life, e.g. eating/working is harmful, but i guess a good balance in the emotions/senes is great for life, that said its no where near easy to control mind and emotions. especially if one is born emotional/sensitive by nature.

Of course it's alright to be sensitive/emotional.  'Think of the judge from the Anna Nicole Smith case.  He's pretty cool, right?

looks like i did a little mess in this topic! (if only i had not seen her on the road two days ago!) anyways, i am a sharp, moody, fearful/gutless, negative, totally unconfident, confused, influenced by others all the time kind of person. i think i am an average person. its takes words of courage from others for me to get the job done, for e.g. 'you can do it' thus i think i am too emotional and sensitive person, which is not good cause due to it there is less guts and confidence in me and on a positive side, i think i understand other's feelings more, i can understand important facts about other person's mentality! overall i think there is a good and bad side to this. perhaps there is always two sides to everything in life!

Your emotions are what make you an individual.  And it's the separate emotions that every existing person has that forms the puzzle which makes life so enjoyable.  Look at your emotions in a positive manner, and feel enlightened towards the knowledge that despite what misery, angst, or sadness your feelings may bring you, such emotions are what also allow happiness, excitement, and pride to be experienced.

Basically, you can't have one emotion without the existence of the other, just as you can't have every person having similar emotions to one another.  Feel proud as being the individual for which people recognize you as, which is determined by the emotions you have portrayed.

those are top-notch words by topdreg, wow you must be a philosopher or a better a writer or something like that pal! quite impressive! lord i am 26, but from what you have said is not a surprise to me as my mother calls me a stupid, childish person and an old school friend told me you are still the same innocent person! i do not know much about it other than that that i too agree to some extent that i may not be matured enough as per my age, as my mom often tells me that i have grown only physically and not mentally. i am a moral minded person and i am 26 virgin and in love and there is nothing wrong i see in that, perhaps life will make me mature!

Maturity is all based on perception.  Do you feel that you are mature?  That's the question one has to ask themselves.

As I said before, emotions are what individualize ourselves, through what we portray.  The girl who recently broke up with you does not accept you for whom you are, and the emotions that you show.  Analyze the relationship in a calm, relaxed manner.  You may be in love with the girl, yet if the chemistry is not two-sided, for whatever the reason may be, chances are it will not work in the end.  And chances are if you believe you can find a better girl for yourself, then you probably can, along with the added benefit of being able to drive yourself forward in life, rather than getting bent out of shape.

i see pal, fine, it happened to me before at gamefaqs.com as well, many people asked me about my age, infact many insulted me as well, its fine. i think maturity may also be coming by rather happy things in life such as being in love! lets just say its good to be good person with good emotions.

I've found it hard being sensitive, and emotional but I have been lucky to have found good people to be around, I haven't found a woman who appreciates how I am yet, but I am hoping someday it will happen for me:)

I have problems showing my emotions as well. Finding it hard to show my emotions has cost be dearly in the past. It cost me a relationship with a very special lady that I still think about even after a year and a half. Back on topic though it's better to be able to show emotion then not.

thanks a lot for your wish double decker pal, but hey i cannot afford to lose her and there is no way now that i would be able to love any girl else, by the way i think you are a male but why do you have an image of some female in your post?!

and zeus well i have just seen your post pal, and all i can say is that i can understand a bit of your pain of broken heart, (i wish i never get that kind of pain), basically i think your image icon tells your sad facts of life and also from the fact that you gaved me the advise to express my self to the girl i love, if you are still single and if that girl/lady of yours is also single and if you think you can still accept here or if there is a chance then go for her pal!

i am having all sorts of emotional plannings in my head for her, for e.g. what if she is about to get hit by some vehicle and i am there and save her just in time and getting hurt myself in the process, so that she can feel and realize my love for her, or something like some punks try to talk bad jokes in front of her and i go and clean them up in front of her! (yeah in the society where she lives there is a small group of losers, i am always in tension whether is anyone harassing her in the road or that society, and all i can do is sit back and imagine and assume random situations of whats going on right now, what is she doing right now which is making me more sad! its sad to be alone from you love the most)

and yes i agree being too emotional and sensitive makes a person too soft which is wrong as small disappointments too would harm one's mind, especially its bad for a male in my opinion.

well to have control over mind is nearly impossible, so one cannot change the nature just like that. and mordain well pal, i am not going to get angry as it can cause my account something, besides i like almost everyone here, other then that i am not a rough person either, but it could be that i am too gut-less. i am seriously trying to have as much braveness as i can, cause i will be needing it when i go the girl's house, but right now even while thinking i am in that society and around her house gives me the shivers. i know i need to become a man as i am 26 now. well with that said if i do irritate you anyway, i would kindly advise you to stay away from my topics pal, hows that now?!
