Is it more insulting...

..to leave a small tip for whoever you tip or to leave no tip at all?

i've never had a position where i was tipped so i wouldn't know but i would THINK it's more insulting not leaving a tip at all. Money is still money in my eyes. Big or small.

I never tip but then again, in my country we dont have that obligation like in the states and basically everyone is broke

I worked serving at tables a few years ago. I enjoyed tips but I wasnt expecting tips from everyone. People more then often dont leave anything

No tip is worse, of course.

A very small tip is much more insulting because it shows you put thought into doing it. If you leave no tip at all at least there is the possibility you just 'forgot'.NostalgicRoyal

Depends how small. If you leave nothing there is still the possibility that you just forgot to tip, at least from the perspective of whoever you are tipping. But if you went out of your way to leave a penny or a nickel than that removes any doubt.

i only tip if you give good service. if you suck at it i wont
