Is it more painful to get stabbed or shot?

I honestly don't know and I never want to know. Although if I had to pick getting stabbed multiple times or shot multiple times, I would pick getting shot.

In most cases I would wager that you're likely to feel the wounds from a gunshot in more places due to appreciably larger wounds.

Okay, type of bullet I can understand, but type of knife? I think getting stabbed in the abdomen with any kind of knife would be equally painful. Unless you can convince me that's not true.

The type of knife will effect the amount of resistance the blade has when entering and exiting the body. A very dull blade would cause significantly more pain then something fairly sharp like a surgeons scalpel.

I think stabbed. Just because a knife can't go through you as fast as a bullet... unless someone just threw it at you as hard as they can, even then. But the only pain I could really imagine you'd be in is when the knife goes through you, once it's in, it shouldn't hurt too much. Same with if you pull it out. If you get shot, I think it will only hurt if the bullet breaks up inside of you. Because then you're stuck with these burning hot, sharp metal fragments inside of you.

blade is the worst IMO. In ancient and medieval times, with the large melee field battles, often soldiers were run through with a sword or other sharp object and would survive for a while, left to bleed out on the ground. Many of the bodies of men in the field after it was over we're likey still barely alive. Seems a lot worse than a bullet if you ask me

you'd have to take into consideration that a bullet is more likely to get lodged into a major organ or break a bone, and also, you can usually remove a knife, non-surgically.

I personally hate it when someone tries to rub it in your face after they knife you. I mean **** I've been knifed so many times I don't even class it as a different death but if you say you don't care they just go on and on...

Sure hope I never get to find out, but being stabbed does seem like it'd be a lot more painful than being shot.

Getting shot blows a big hole in you, getting stabbed doesn't.

If someone is giving me a choice of stabbing me or shooting me then I will take a stabbing. Least I can try and fight for my life better without a weapon or even take them down with me. Least with a blade you can take non lethal wounds on your arms in a struggle. The odds of them shooting you in the arm because they want to and you successfully moving your arm on cue to block a bullet from your head or chest are not relative.

I would imagine being stabbed, Theres just something about a long blade penetrating your flesh, anywhere, stomache back foot legs, just CREEPS me out. Maybe because any idiot can pull a trigger and its over in an instant with a small hole inside you. Wielding a knife takes a bit more of a ball sack in my opinion. The thought of that knife penetrating your skin, cutting through veins potential arteries or god forbid an organ. Ugh, especially if they left the knife in you...Oh god. Oh god.....THERES A PIECE OF METAL STICKING OUT OF MY BODY.
