No. Hitting anyone (non-playfully) is wrong, and if your partner or anyone is one who lashes out violently without provocation(or with, even), then you should distance yourself from them and inform the authorities if it continues.

Don't overreact. If she's just lightly hitting you don't sock her in the face LOL. But if she seriously wants to injure you then sure, I guess you can hit her back. Honestly I think in most situations it's better to just take the hit than to fight back though.

This whole 'You cant hit girls' thing is pathetic, if she hits you first then that's assault no matter who you are and you're entitled to defend yourself. When I was 11ish i got pinned to a wall by a group of about 20-30 girls at a train station and in my fear of getting thrown onto the tracks I lashed out and caught one in the eye and gave her a black eye, bearing in mind this girl was a cave troll of a girl and was at least twice as big as me. I had to be escorted home by the train attendants because this pack of girls was looking for some payback not to mention her brothers, one was a year older and one was 4 years older, made my life hell for a year, had to have eyes in the back of my head.

If she's causing you a lot of pain or hitting you maliciously go ahead and hit her back. If she's not hurting you, brush her off. It's like how you wouldn't punch a baby if it bit you, because it didn't really hurt that badly.

Chances are you'd get knocked out by the pipe. When people want to inflict violence on each other in domestic abuse cases, a lot of them are blindsided. If you and your partner get in an argument that disperses with both of you really angry, and you sit down to watch TV and she returns and clocks you in the head with a pipe, you're probably KOed, or too concussed to really properly defend yourself. If your partner is being abusive, you (A.) escape the situation asap. (B.) Report it to the authorities. (C.) Move on and find someone more compatible. Unfortunately, members of both sexes rarely follow these steps right away.
If it hurts when said chick punches me she is is eating dirt. Never bought the idea of never hit a girl, it is an outdated idea in a time when women want equal rights.

You don't know that it won't. If someone attacks me with a deadly weapon, I am going to assume they are trying to kill me. I will do what is necessary to escape, even hit the attacker, even if it is a girl, even if it is my own mother. There are very limited options in a situation like that; you can fight back or die, basically.

Hitting a girl is by far NOT the worst thing you can do. I'd ratherat least make an attempt to save myself than think "I can't hit a girl!" and die without even trying. This idea that hitting a girl is a terrible horrible act is ludicrous.Most girls wouldn't think twice before kicking you in the balls if you approached her with a weapon.
