I have Curly hair, and I have to straighten it to get the look I like. A few years a go, i had a Faux-hawk and my hair got trained to stand up, even without junk in it. So, I was wondering that if I keep my hair straightend long enough, would it become more "natrual" straight? Or is that possible? :o

I've used a straight iron set to 180-190 degrees celcius, pretty much every day of the week for the past two years, and my hair is as curly as ever whenever I leave the shower. Letting the hair slow-dry, or using a blowdryer, with or without mousse or heat-protective aerosols, nothing left a lasting effect.
As for getting a perm, despite the name of the treatment, it isn't permanent.
One guy in the thread theorized earlier, that if it grows long enough, the added weight would help to pull the strands down, giving it a more straight look. Might wanna' try that out, although I don't know if it works beyond in theory, since I never went "all out" in terms of my hairlength (emo/scene length/styIe. instead of goth-length.
It's not that big of an issue really dude. If you're adamant about avoiding using a straight iron every day, just avoid washing your hair every day, you wont have to straighten it out the day after if you compensate with a quality hairspray.
