I would like the opposite. My hair is straight as straight can get. Think long haired hair bands of the 80's if it were actually long. No curve to it whatsoever. I don't want tight curls, just a bit of wave to it to make it easier to fix and style.

But as to your question, it's not possible unless your DNA changes. The only way for that to happen is if it were to fall out and grew back such as is the case with Cancer patients whose hair sometimes grows back a different color and straightness. Otherwise, you're just going to have to straighten and I'll just have to deal with ridiculously straight hair.

codymcclain14

Thanks for an actual answer. And, want to trade? :P

Shooah. Shooah.

Depends on how curly yours is. I don't think I could deal with really curly hair, unless it was really short like Adam Sandler's or whatever.

Not even trying to flame, but for all the talk of not conforming and not caring what people think and doing what you do because you like it; it sounds to me that, based off of your posts on GS, you are trying real hard to fit into this emo/scene category. You have the music down, you apparently want to have the hair down, you have the "I don't care what other people think!" ("But secretly I do")/angsty teen attitude down, and I would place a bet that your pants are a few sizes too small for you. I have a feeling I know what kind of, "shut up you dont know me, I actually like this stuff and I dont care what people say", response I will get. However,in about a year or so you will look back at this phase and ask yourself wtf was I doing? This is nothing more than an extremely transparent charade to fit in with your peers.

I'm not TRYING to fit in it, I know that's what look I'm going for, it's what I like, i think it looks cool, so I do dress Emo. I do care what people think, i care too much, I am very insecure about myself. But I am happy with the way I look, and I'm not changing for someone else. Emo dressing? Possibly is a phase. But Music isn't a phase, it may change, it may not, but i know people who's liked this music their "whole life". Bottom line, even though it hurts when people insult me, I'm happy about who I am. And I don't plan on changing to fit in better with other people.

I've heard it can speed up hair loss (not significantly though).

Think of curly hair as God's way of telling you to not go emo. Thought emo died off almost a decade ago anyway.

Well, if you was on during that time, you'd notice I got off shortly after I made this topic. I was trying to talk as much as I could in the topic before I left. Now, my Grammar, some was typo's, and some ( like Natural ) wasn't, but I just didn't want to waste time correcting them and using spell check. F*ck off, buddy! ;)

I have Curly hair, and I have to straighten it to get the look I like. A few years a go, i had a Faux-hawk and my hair got trained to stand up, even without junk in it. So, I was wondering that if I keep my hair straightend long enough, would it become more "natrual" straight? Or is that possible? :o

And yes, I know I probably spelt Natrual wrong. -.-

I have thick curly hair, it's also known as a Jew fro. I used to hate it and wanted straight hair, but eventually I just came to terms with it and accepted it, and now girls love it and trust me, you may not like it now, but it will get you laid when your older. But only if you accept it and become proud of it, become confident about it.

If you hate it you can straighten it but you can't change it to being naturaly straight. It's in your genes.

You answered your own question. If your hair is naturally curly, nothing will make it naturally straight. You will always have to put something in it to make it straight.

You can get permenant straightening treatments. They ruin your hair, though. Semi-permenant ones make it easier to straighten.

I'm a guy, I straighten my hair, too. Every 2 or 3 days.

It's called relaxer. You can often find it in the 'black people' section of hair stores or in the shampoo section, but I'd go to a professional. It's like a reverse perm, kinda. Straightening only works until you wash your hair, and really, straightened hair on dudes is usually gross looking. You can't change the shape of the follicles in your head, and that's what makes your hair straight or curly or whatever. There are also straightening shampoos you could try, but I don't know how well they'd work.
